That is an exceptionally good question....
it would be exceptionally difficult for the province of Quebec to
make it economically if they separated from Canada but.....
I believe that the situation in England is somewhat different due to the
fact that automation is decreasing the traditional types of jobs that keep
    the majority of people busy...........

It has been theorized that ART in some form may be one of the only ways to
give meaningful employment to the majority of people in the not too distant future.

I personally do believe that that is happening right now.....

but I have read of some glimpses of the future by some gifted psychics or near death experiencers and
I can see England becoming a true leader in this shift
and control of her own national currency unit could be important.

In this day and age the vast majority of us plead innocent and blame our problems on
somebody else.... but England is in a position to take some responsibility.....
to lay claim to some guilt..... and the ARTISTIC VALUE of doing so could
play a huge role in setting in motion a paradigm shift in the world economy.

The result could be Economic Chains Broken and Economic Captives Set Free...... a JUBILEE of sorts:

For the record I am quite suspicious that somebody having a near death experience in
1985 who would be given a glimpse of the future, (possibly from another time line that had already happened),
might think that there was hardly no technology there at all...... but there actually could have been
astonishing technological devices all over the place that either fit into the environment beautifully or
perhaps were so miniaturized and hidden that they could not be noticed easily.
    https://www.near-death.com/experiences/exceptional/howard-storm.html#a04
I am seriously into the idea of claiming some guilty......
verses blaming others for our problems.....

Einstein termed himself a Polytheist after the order of Spinoza and
a lot of research is happening that indicates that we humans have a soul that is
astonishingly ancient. Helen Wambach Ph. D. regressed her volunteers only four millennia
in time but others have been taken far, far, far further in the past than that.

If the book I refer to here were to really catch on in England...
which would be pretty easy for me to imagining happening.....
English theologians would be in a position to shift Christianity away from its
traditional role of keeping the masses in fear and division:

Your nomination for Nobel Prize in Literature?

Christian Universalism is quite different from the denominationalism of the past
that was used to divide and conquer.

    https://www.near-death.com/experiences/exceptional/christian-andreason.html#a04h

Frankly though... it will probably be ordinary Brits rather than Theologians who get this shift done.....

This audio book is a visionary dream of a spiritual awakening beginning in England and Europe. In my opinion it is up there with the writings of C. S. Lewis:

This is an economics forum and you continue to enter you religious opinions here.

Frankly, they should go into the Religious Forum on this site.

Mankind learned finally in the 19th century that politics and religion do not mix well. Of course, beforehand millions had to die to defend religious POVs - which was tantamount to useless differences of opinion regarding "god" - of which there are n-versions on this planet ...

Automation has been doing that since the 1980s when car production lines were amongst the first to introduce the technology. In the US, today, Goods-producing Industries employ only about 13% of the total workforce. (See here.)

The consequences are inescapable. Which is why I keep bellowing about the necessity to Educate our people out of the Industrial Age and into the Information Age.

It is not Mission Impossible. It's just costly - but the money is there. Being wasted on the DoD ... !

I seriously doubt that can happen. The Information Age is one in which brainwork replaces brawn-work.

People need be trained in other skills. The Internet is one such skill. But, I have serious doubts that it is thought of as a good "Training Tool". It needs improvement, but it is far better than "books and paper".

Yes, no one needs to attend lectures any more. So, the emphasis should be placed upon "lab-work". That is,for any given subject the students debate subjects that teachers propose. And they are marked on their ability to debate those subjects. (It is not a matter of "being right". It is a matter of "how do I get my point across clearly/logically".)

    You are dreaming.

The British government has neither the funds to do so nor a pot-to-pee-in. See here:
Country List Government Debt to GDP | Europe

It is eighth highest on the list of 27 countries that constitute the European Union (at present). Where is the UK to find the humongous amount of funds necessary to stabilize the pound-sterling or any currency whatsoever ... ?

The UK never needed to join the Euro because the UK paid for the Euro, before the Euro, a country like Italy's money was 500 Lira to £0.50, and the only reason why these countries in Europe could have a Euro to be more in line with £ or USD$ is because of UK's City of London, and the Euro needs UK more than UK needs the Euro with Eastern European economies in particular.
It's like Europe and Africa are virtually the same and even with the Euro European economics makes no sense when someone is free to move and settle in the UK with a higher minimum wage compared to their home, like Latvia, who has a minimum wage that is a fraction of UK's national minimum wage or the higher London living wage.

Just remember, UK and it's City of London paid to prop up Germany and France so they can have a Euro because Deutsche Mark and Francs were way off base with their values.I just checked, 1 Deutsche Mark was worth £0.27 just before the Euro rolled out and it was back in the 1990's UK's City of London doubled up their trades to bring these European countries up to be able to have a Euro.

Tommy Robinson isn't even his real name, and he's an idiot broadcasting a court case in a country where at best we keep the media out of the court and the media are given artist depictions.
Doesn't matter if it's a parking fine, you don't go broadcasting an active case before the jury or judge find the defendant guilty. What Tommy Robinson did almost cost a prosecution their case meaning that anyone found guilty could turn around and shout they had an unfair trial. So the judge made an example of Tommy Robinson.

Actually this particular forum is about Western Europe... and although Western Europeans tends to be somewhat less
interested in spirituality than Americans tend to be ... there is still some interest there.

The results of this poll indicate to me that the people of England cannot visualize themselves rivalling Hollywood......... Frankly.... that is somewhat understandable and logical but..... this indicates feelings of INSECURITY and INFERIORITY....... which could well cause your ancestors to turn over in their graves? (Assuming the possible validity of the near death experience of Eben Alexander M. D???)

Hollywood isn't Wall Street or Capital Hill.
London is like all 3, maybe for UK or maybe even for Europe.

This means something very different than a Christian filled with fear will tend to think.....

    http://64.71.77.248/fq-protestant/tc-en.html

    Rick Joyner:
The threat of rising ocean levels threatens London, England.... and The Netherlands... and Anchorage, Alaska, and the Bay of Fundy between Maine, USA, N. S., and N. B., Canada.

If average ocean levels rose by eight to ten cms (3 or 4 inches) could high tide...

... rise by one meter in the Isthmus of Chignecto in Nova Scotia, Canada?
This question is logical because the geography of Canada's Bay of Fundy produces the world's highest tides. In my part of Nova Scotia in Guysborough County there is very little funnelling of tidal waters......... so high tide is only about one to one point five meters above low tide.

In the eastern area of the Bay of Fundy high tide levels are up by ten to fifteen meters.
