The place is nice and peaceful. You can draw conclusions yourself. This is first mushrooms. The first wild strawberry Compare with garden Siberian strawberries There is a cottage settlement. Somebody just builds his home. Pay attention to it's real wood.
Mosquitoes too. And in a month it is all white again. It's like the of Eurasia. Check out the first part of the movie - for the scenery. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Way_Back Just a clip Czarist Russia tried a "Homestead" type program similar to . Go forth, prove your land, receive title in a few years. Like "Little House on the Prairie" It didn't work.
Lady, did you really watch this nonsense? That's really washed mind. You try saying to a Siberian how it's going in Siberia Lady this comedy is not a serious information source. Believe the real Siberian native.
Man here with the Goddess of Wisdom as my avatar. See the ID, Male. My 23AndMe now tells me I am 0.1% Yakhut in my over 95% Ashkenazi genome. How do you suppose that happened? Jewish Yakhut? How are the mosquitoes this season. Persons from Minnesota joke it is their State Bird. So were you aware of the homestead program? And please let us know when the rainy season changes to white. PS I do like that piece of history of Siberian forces defending Moscow from the frozen Nazis. How cold was it for Siberians?
Sir, change your avatar! ...why that ancient Greeks believed that women are smarter than men? Though... My wife believes the same. I think you mean an Eskimos? Don't know. We don't pay attention to nationality of a person. We are Siberians. I live on a seventh floor. They can't reach me. I believe that'll happen in November. Maybe in the end of October. But where do you read about a rain? See here https://yandex.ru/pogoda/omsk Siberians are usual people. Many from us are from South of Russia. We say Siberian don't freeze because they wearing warm
@st256 Eskimo is NOT P.C. Try Inuit. They have never been associated with the Turkic peoples that I know of. But, the Yakut are of Turkic derivation. The Yakuts or the Sakha (Sakha: Sakhalar) are a Turkic ethnic group who mainly live in the Republic of Sakha in the Russian Federation, with some extending to the Amur, Magadan, Sakhalin regions, and the Taymyr and Evenk Autonomous Districts. The Yakut language belongs to the Siberian branch of the Turkic languages. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yakuts In Russky here, https://ru.wikipedia.org/wiki/Якуты Яку́ты (самоназвание саха; мн. ч.
Of course, I know who Yakuts are. But I am really surprised they are Turkic Though I've just recall that Erdogan said that Yakuts are his relatives, it was really funny. I think for Yakuts too
Residents of a city in Siberia don’t need to fly off to tropical locales for picturesque selfies taken by pristine turquoise waters. Thousands of Novosibirsk residents have been busy instagramming near a bright blue lake nicknamed the “Siberian Maldives”.
Nice place... but personally I despise the selfie crowd. We observe them from a distance (eating our fish and chips watching the stingray in the water and admiring the view)... they charge in... drape themselves all over the rocks and start clicking away.. then without a single look around they take off to the next selfie destination....bunch of self absorbed losers if you ask me.
Ladies and gentlemen, you can see a usual traitor. Wellcom, Mr.ThirdTerm! He sees that somebody write something good about Russia and write something bad. In this case he wrote about an industrial zone that every country has now. It's an ash dump of HPP. Oh course this water has much of harmful impurities and the strange color. But why did he write in the topic where I just post photos of my city? ThirdTerm posted photos from other city that named Novosibirsk. Though I believe that ash dump of HPP is in Omsk too. There are less 5% people of such sort in Russia. But they pump all Internet with their spam. They do it because of two reasons 1. They get some money from the USA government that funded ($5 billions) for the information war. 2. They want to go to the USA. They believe that they'll get a million bucks and 72 virtuous Guries from Holowood. Most of them idiots. I mean traitors, not guries. Being just a traitor is a very hard sin in Russia. It is not important whom was betrayed by this traitor. For example, Putin publicly said that Snowden is a traitor. There is one feature of Americans. They are really patriots. I've a question to Americans. Would you like to get such citizen like Mr.ThirdTerm?
Today was +30C(+86F) again. A season of strawberry is completed. Now we do a jam. We name it varenje. A Russian man could invite a friend home to drink some beer. A Russian woman invites her friend to drink tea. Tea is drunk with varenje. Every woman has her own secret of cooking varenje. For example, you take wild strawberry. Next you boil it in sugar Now it's completed. The main secret is: if you take different berries you get a different varenje. Don't mess it!
It is true that folks here in Minnesota refer to mosquitoes as the state's unofficial state bird. That's because most don't realize how easy it is to be rid of them ~ simply spray yourself with lavender lotion or oil, wash yourself with lavender soap, and plant lavender leaves on your garden. While this herb smells pleasant to people, it is absolutely abhorrent to skeeters. They HATE it to no end. In my neighborhood the city sprays the grass areas in our parks with fumigation which keeps the bugs out. However, the city never sprays the trees and that is why they come back every year. Thus, every summer it was rather unpleasant for me to walk around our area park because of all the bugs. When I learned about the use of lavender, I now walk calmly all throughout it and the bugs avoid me like the plague! Try it. But any lavender lotion, soap, or oil - pour the oil into a spray bottle with some water and use on your body, clothes, hat or cap, etc. You will be amazed at well it works to scare away those irritating bugs.
I cannot speak for Siberia but can tell ya those naughty Minnesota skeeters will drain you of blood faster than a vampire. Funny thing is that while Dracula runs away instantly from the sign of the Holy Cross, skeeters will flee from you just as fast if you are wearing lavender.
I trust in 99+% DEET on rare occasions I need it. Mosquito bites effect me like spider bites most people. My treatment is force a crystal of salt in the bite hole.
Nobody attracted skeeters more than I did and twice suffered from tropical fever after getting bitten by those friggin buggers. Thankfully, not so anymore. As for deet, please don't use it as it is hypoallergic - many people can be and are highly sensitive to it. Years ago I read where a man sprayed himself with it and fainted. Poor guy got seriously injured when his head hit the ground. That stuff is just too dangerous and doesn't work as well as lavender. Here are other natural bug preventives: https://www.google.com/search?q=nat....69i57j0l5.14589j0j4&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8
Only hundred years ago there was an executing in Siberia. A person was tethered to a tree for one night. Next morning the person was dead already. A reason was not a bear or wolfs. Mosquitos ate a man to death. It's interesting, Siberian mosquitoes don't afraid any spray. But it doesn't mean you obligatory meet them in a forest. They live in special places. You just have to avoid these places. When I did my photos in a forest or riverside mosquitoes were absent. But if they present you have a problem. Sometimes it's the very very very big problem.
Wow! I don't think there is any Mosquito in North America that can match that. 99+% DEET. Have you tried it. Very light oil feel. I do not know about lavender oil mentioned above. Has mosquito habitat been purposefully reduced? Like draining still water. Or Mosquito larva eating fish. "Winter Is Coming". ref. Game of Thrones
Sunday as a Siberian man I went to a monastery. As a correct Siberian man I went to a female monastery. As a married Siberian man I went to the monastery with my wife. What do you see in Siberian monastery first? It's the gate. You can see several small chapels like these. Next you walk to the main temple. As any respectable monastery it has a holy spring. There are very hungry fishes in that spring. I believe they embody devils that wait you in hell. When you feed them it looks very convincingly. In general the place is nice and peaceful...
