    Oppression and poverty is the cause of crime.

    There is no difference between races when it comes to crimes caused by poverty.

    Studies have shown that poverty is not the cause of crime....quite to the contrary crime is the cause of poverty.

    Physical Poverty does not cause crime. Historically, Immigrants are always the poorest, but in fact some of the happiest to be here. Poverty of the Spirit is the causal factor. Lack of parents, bad parents, lack of purpose in life leads to Poverty of the spirit, which does lead to crime.

    If poverty caused crime everyone in west virginia would be in jail.

    Proof that poverty does not cause crime: When the poverty level rises....crime does not.

    The black crime rate was very low in America at a time when they were the poorest.........the black crime rate began to skyrocket in the sixties when the black family broke down....and most black kids have only one parent...some blame that on the fact that black women could do better as single mothers (welfare checks are higher for single women with children)than having a husband.

    The violence is not in Cape Town’s tourist areas.

    My suggestion would be for Tourists to stay in "Tourist Areas".

    Much like Chicago Tourists avoids the High-Crime Areas on the South Side.

    Stay in the Tourist Area and remain safe. Problem solved.

    Guns are the problem in South Africa? No blacks are the problem in South Africa. As soon as blacks took control of the government the place started going downhill quickly. They used affirmative action to put blacks in positions they were not qualified for. It didn't take long for the country to descend into a violent, third-world hell hole after that. This and the fact that SA is the rape capital of the world has nothing whatsoever to do with guns.

    Common back in the 50's and 60's. WHI TE run, prosperous and safe. Now BLACK run, poverty stricken and cess pools.

    The introduction of Western medicine resulted in a rise in the native population. South Africa seems to be going the way of Rhodesia unfortunately.
