Poll: Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez Defining Democratic Party for White, Working-Class Voters; Only 22% Approve

A new poll reportedly shows that Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) is increasingly defining the Democratic Party for white working-class voters — and many do not like the image she presents.
Axios reported on the poll Sunday. It is apparently “circulating” among “top Democrats,” and involved “1,003 likely general-election voters who are white and have two years or less of college education.” The website did not provide the raw data or polling firm name.

AOC tends to make the news, but its typically for unfortunate reasons.

    Like her crying sessions.

    Or calling other Democrats racist.

Or loosing a ton of jobs in her own district.

Sadly, people are coming to associate AOC with the democrat party which isn't good for upcoming elections.

Interesting article, they even slam the Somalian and socialism as being unwanted in this country.

Libs, before you blast Breitbart as being the source, they link to Axios.

As I understand it, top democrats are looking closely at this poll.

They can't shut these gals up though.

Whenever someone bad for the GOP arises on the Right most Right of Center posters say so and reject him or her. Our leftists, however, who LIVE for identity politics are almost forced by their own Political Correctness to embrace their outright lunatics and bad eggs . . . especially if he or she is one of their darling minority types . . . such as A.O.C. with her Puerto Rican heritage and gender. They need to work on that and learn how to say "Hell no!"

Historically and world wide-thats always been one of the flaws of the left-the ability to curtail its own radicals. They just can't do it.

Its bizarre to watch them attempt to abide by whatever PC rules of hierarchy they have.

Sounds like a good long term goal.

But for now she's just too much of a peach to split off.

If they are white and undereducated they statistically already support trump so I don’t see how this is news?

You don't really need a poll to know AOC is toxic, and sadly ever since Hillary lost I find it almost impossible to find the full methodology to polls that are conducted. Either way, this might almost be accurate as most polling prior to the methodology blackout, tended to over sample; woman by about 4-6% and liberals by 6-8% added to standard weighting and the plus/minus they could manufacture results that almost looked random and non-partisan...

Working class whites are critical in presidential elections.

Maybe one day, democrats will start appealing to them, instead of illegal aliens in mexico.

But that day won't be anytime soon.

She's political kryptonite for the left.

Really? If whites with two years or less college are 'undereducated' what about all those minorities who statistically are even less educated? Why is it you folks never talk about them?

Remember the days when the left would cry about America's homeless people, poor school systems pushing out uneducated kids, the problems suffered by the elderly, or even poor people who couldn't afford insurance? The left stopped whining about all of that once they were commanded to put non-American foreigners at the top of the list. With the exception of a few of the democrat contenders, they've even forgotten about blacks.

The candidates know they need only mention reparations and they fully expect the blacks to get in line. What they don't know is that Trump won't let that go, and the media can't ignore it. The best thing Republicans can do now is help along Democrats that support openly the whole reparations thing. Democrats aren't actually supposed to do anything, look at that clown Obama. The only thing he accomplished was that disaster Obamacare, and Libya, never forget Libya, oh and losing 1/3 of Iraq...

Well it's obvious the Democrats are in denial, their party is divided and they will continue to make the news for all the wrong reasons until they either embrace their communist brethren... or separate from them.

Thinking about it the Republicans faced a similar split during the 2016 election, the choice was to embrace Trump of fracture the party. Their decisiveness prevented a similar scenario.

No kidding, apparently he's never been in the Democratic stronghold of the South Side of Chicago, it almost makes Somalia look good.

Even I'm surprised Rep. Omar only has a 9% favorable rating in the poll.

If we reach the point where 80 percent of the white population votes one way and 80 percent of the POC population votes the other way, I think you can see how that is a setup for some pretty nasty things.

    Yes, really.

Feel free to make a thread about them and I will gladly refer to them as undereducated people of color.
Would that make you feel better?

Seems like "the squad" or whatever it is they're being called now, will always be able to re-unite under a common banner: Orangemanbad. At least for the next 5 years, heh heh.

Question: What does it say about our alleged higher education system when those not participating in it know better than to support an ecosystem of ideologies that have repeatedly failed, repeatedly brought about suffering and even death, and repeatedly been the mechanism of oppression, but many of those who have gone through the alleged higher education system come out championing their non-existent virtues, clamoring for their implementation, voting for anyone who promises -without knowing they cant actually deliver-, while spending their time roaming around talking about how much smarter than are despite being ignorant to all of the preceding?

What ecosystem of ideologies are you referring to?
Public safety nets? Improving access to healthcare networks? Reducing income inequality?

I suppose education simply expands their world view vs a lack of education leads one to believe that their situation is the only thing that matters.

I could dissect your, rant — especially about the part about lack of values and voting for someone who promises things they cannot deliver — but I think we both know it applies equally to both parties.
