Lol...So, what's your point? That trump was right to throw Puerto Rico under the bus after hurricane Maria because of some political corruption?
What a load of twaddle trying to distract from the racist trump's hatred of Puerto Rico.
By your metric, Florida and many other states should never get another cent of federal aid money because of their rabidly corrupt state governments, and rick scott should have been rotting in jail instead of allowed to run for political office.

Why is this so hard for the far left to understand.....

Puerto Rico was corrupt, incompetent, bad with money, and couldn't maintain their infrastructure competently even before the hurricane. Hence, use caution when handing over vast amounts of money to any country which is corrupt, incompetent, bad with money, and can't even maintain the basics competently even without a natural disaster.

Rocket science for Democrats, apparently. "Just throw more money at the problem!"

Trump simply doesn't see Puerto Rico as part of the United States. He responded accordingly.

Leaked chat between Puerto Rico’s governor and his executive team shakes the island

The 889-page document, published by the non-profit journalism group Centro de Periodismo Investigativo and obtained from an anonymous source, details efforts by high-ranking officials and collaborators to manipulate public narrative through mass media, influence public polls to favor the administration, and operate a “troll network” to discredit negative press coverage and criticism from opposition leaders.

The document —which reveals conversations made through the messaging app Telegram from late 2018 to January 20 of this year— also reveals several comments of a sexual, misogynistic and homophobic vein from Rosselló and other members of the chat group, as well as profanity.

They sound like democrats. I bet they got this idea from them as well.

It's not like we didn't see that this was a scam. There is a reason why everything there is nailed down and bars on every window. Hint: It's not because of natural disasters.

PR like every Latin country in the Americas are mostly **** holes, surrounded by small specs of 1st world tourism. It even that is starting to go away. Cruises now warm people that it’s not safe to venture past the ports on any Mexican stop. They should just stop going there all together, but then all the money would dry up.

Independence would solve any shipping restrictions, or any other restrictions.

Well I can't speak to that since I don't know what those shipping restrictions are, but if DC is establishing policies that are not working for the people of Puerto Rico, independence seems to be a logical answer.

I think it would be better for the USA just to do the right thing by PR and remove the shipping restrictions

Again I don't know what you mean but the Democrats run the House so I guess there should be a bill on that any day. Right?

We also did a major event there. Fracking disaster. Similar experience when we went to Atlantis in the Bahamas. The laziness and total lack of professionalism from the staff behind the scenes was embarrassing. Slow, completely apathetic and since you’re on their island, they have you by the nuts.
