Most know the noted Republican lawyer and husband of Kellyanne Conway [Trump's close counselor] for his outspoken criticism of Trump. There are a fair number of Republicans speaking out either publicly or quietly denouncing the racism of the president. Here's George Conway's opinion today:

"George Conway: Trump is a racist president"
    https://www.washingtonpost.com/opin...46e594de5d5_story.html?utm_term=.f27df085eb6d

"No, I thought, President Trump was boorish, dim-witted, inarticulate, incoherent, narcissistic and insensitive. He’s a pathetic bully but an equal-opportunity bully — in his uniquely crass and crude manner, he’ll attack anyone he thinks is critical of him. No matter how much I found him ultimately unfit, I still gave him the benefit of the doubt about being a racist. No matter how much I came to dislike him, I didn’t want to think that the president of the United States is a racial bigot.

But Sunday left no doubt. Naivete, resentment and outright racism, roiled in a toxic mix, have given us a racist president. Trump could have used vile slurs, including the vilest of them all, and the intent and effect would have been no less clear. Telling four non-white members of Congress — American citizens all, three natural-born — to “go back” to the “countries” they “originally came from”? That’s racist to the core. It doesn’t matter what these representatives are for or against — and there’s plenty to criticize them for — it’s beyond the bounds of human decency. For anyone, not least a president."

    In my opinion...

There are like certain people who you can hold a random object in front of, and they will tell you why that object is racist... rocking chairs, black holes, betsy Ross flag. Their isn't a human alive or object in existence that one of these totally random people can't find and label racist.

And that's all I got to say about that...

The definition of racist today is: Anything or anyone the dems do not like.

He certainly knows more about what he's talking about than any one on this forum does.

Texas congressman Will Hurd also spoke out against Trump:

"I think those tweets are racist and xenophobic. They're also inaccurate," he said.

"Look, I'm the only black Republican in the House of Representatives. I go into communities that most Republicans don't show up in order to take a conservative message," he also said, adding, "This makes it harder in order to take our ideas, and our platform, to communities that don't necessarily identify with the Republican Party."
Hurd said it is "concerning to me that there are people that think that's OK, that kind of behavior's OK" when asked if he was surprised why so many Republicans have not spoken out about Trump's tweets."

So now it will be racist for libs to criticize Europeans for coming to America and living among the natives.

Libs never think things through, they live on their emotions and what their leaders command them to do.

Conway is a Republican. Hird is a Republican. Are they "living on their emotions"?

If certain people called a certain person a Republican, I would know that certain person was certainly a POS just like the certain people.

Three words explains it all: They don't care

The rest is just bs. And trump isn't doing this randomly. He is actively dividing the nation by making all non-trumpers, enemies. He is preparing Jonestown for a civil war.

Well, I'd like to believe there are more normal Repubs/conservatives out there than a forum like this would lead one to believe. Intelligent people who are really realizing, or realized awhile ago, that Trump really is just a colossal racist, an all around embarrassment, a horribly destructive force, an ignorant fool, a childish insecure bully, quite possibly a crook, and I believe they can't wait for him to go and for this ridiculous charade to be over.

    Conway confronts fellow Republicans:

"What’s just as bad, though, is the virtual silence from Republican leaders and officeholders. They’re silent not because they agree with Trump. Surely they know better. They’re silent because, knowing that he’s incorrigible, they have inured themselves to his wild statements; because, knowing that he’s a fool, they don’t really take his words seriously and pretend that others shouldn’t, either; because, knowing how damaging Trump’s words are, the Republicans don’t want to give succor to their political enemies; because, knowing how vindictive, stubborn and obtusely self-destructive Trump is, they fear his wrath" .

Not liking someone from another country isn't racist. If Trump said, "go back” to the “countries” they “originally came from" and was talking about Sweden, would it be racist? You may believe that statement to be "racist to the core" but that doesn't mean that it is. He may be racist. I haven't seen it and so it doesn't bother me. My Father (born 1920) used to use language that would be considered extremely racist. He was actually the most caring and non-racist person I've ever met. That was just the way he talked. The multiple black families that he fed from his garden, out of kindness and friendship, spoke volumes more than the words that he used.
Is it better for Obama to be the first black POTUS and have the black community out of work or is it better for Trump to use words you don't like and have record unemployment for the black community? It would be nice to have both but that time hasn't come yet. It wouldn't matter if Trump spoke the right words, or did everything perfect, he would still be demonized by the left. So he might as well speak his mind and get stuff done that has needed doing for a long time.

Nobody cares because when political for leftists wants to try and change legislation and are met with opposition that's because the opposition is racist and homophobic or bigoted in some way or another. If we don't believe someone who is lying about a Supreme Court Justice we're called misogynistic. If I want my borders secure I'm told I'm xenophobic or racist.

So when we hear the word racist what we really here is there's a far left us that doesn't like something and can't argue why it's wrong.

In the more you cry racism the less likely someone's going to believe you if it's genuine.

By crying racism at every corner for everything that doesn't go exactly the way you want it, you the people that do that have made it impossible to go after real racism, congratulations.

I just hope that should we actually encounter real racism people can recognize it for what it is instead of rolling their eyes and saying here we go again latest fit throwing from the poor little snowflakes that didn't get their way.

It's a dangerous game you're playing and you will be the target one day. But I'm going to head don't let me stop you I want to watch you fall on that sword. And it's going to be hard not to cackle and delight when you are served your Just desserts.

The very guy you quoted literally debunked your own thread.

You claim Republicans "know Trump is a racist", while the guy you quote as proof actually blames Republicans for not showing any problem with what Trump said.

But it's not a contradiction, you see these Republicans "know better in their hearts"...

So he literally admits that he's got nothing. It's just his baseless opinion.

It's so obvious that Trump is a racist, he became one the day he ran for President as a republican.

Then again, the people that are calling him a racist are still looking for the maga hat wearing white guys that assaulted Jussie.

I think it's pretty clear he's actually racist.

He has a history going way back. It's nothing new.

He started gathering his base a long time ago.

The ones who know better are stuck between a rock and a hard place.

They obviously didn't want Trump in the beginning, and then they sold themselves out, and hitched their wagon to the devil.

It's funny that Trump and his base spend all day trying to demonize the left...

and yet here they are, once again having to defend Beelzebub.
