The thing is, the tax cut did not pay for itself as promised. They never do. The cut was about maintaining Don's popularity by stimulating an already growing economy. The costs........hundreds of billions in additional debt and tremendous harm to the environment due to regulatory rollbacks. The bill is coming due. What idiocy will you cling to then?

They forget that there have been bipartisan proposals to enhance border security that Trump wouldn't deal with because they didn't contain money for his wall. So basically Trump sacrificed border security because the plans would not fulfill his campaign promise to build a wall.

 

The coyotes watch the border. They approach the border in one area to distract the guards so that other groups can cross the border in other unguarded areas. A wall would stop that because they would delay them long enough for the border patrol to respond.
