Mitch, I know you live in Washington state and you come across as an intelligent poster. The OP states:

" The LGBT community has too much power.
Although I am not a Christian, I am glad Christians are legally allowed by our government to adhere to their Christianity.
The Mormons didn't get such slack regarding their original interpretation of Black people."

    Do you agree?

No the biggest theme running right now is that white straight guys are bad and the cause of everyone elses problems.
What you are seeing is fully justified backlash against that.

There is always a crowd. Worst is saturday morning. Its the only weekend day they are opened.

However, they are very efficient at getting people through, and they are polite and get the order right.

They are closed Sunday, which I respect. And they are STILL a very effective business model.

I love their little mini chicken sandwiches and tiny little yeast rolls...I can kill 15 of them.

On the other hand you don't seem to understand the right of religious freedom and being anti Gay or anti LSMFT.. The two are not related.

I did not know that. Frankly, I suspect it’s not true either.

There are enough people out there with peanut allergies that this would be a very dangerous thing for any food establishment to do without posting very specific and very noticeable warnings in every store.

Beyond that, CFA is my default fast food stop. But I swore off breakfast biscuits of any sort months ago. A thousand calories of fat and carbohydrates is not the best way to start the day.

How do Chick-Fil-A restaurants discriminate against gays? Are people asked their sexual orientation at the door?

As far as I know, gays are welcomed at Chick-Fil-A.

The political views of the owner have nothing to do with discriminating and denying service, which doesn’t happen.

I remember reading a story of a Chic-Fil-A Restaurant that had a homeless person arrive at their front door during a cold day a few years ago. He offered to work the entire day for some food and shelter. The employees instead gave him a free meal and let him spend the whole day inside the warm store without asking anything in return. This attracted more homeless people that the local restaurant also helped feed.

    That is great.

I remember when they hired a girl with down syndrome-her first job.

The other side of the coin is anti-gay rhetoric which is bigotry. I mean come on man, gays have been persecuted for many years.

I wouldn't know, although it wouldn't surprise me. They did settle out of court but that could mean the company knew it was guilty and settled or they just didn't want it to drag through court and settled.

Edit-And I doubt even if that store did have organized prayer that it is common in other locations.

Most people with normal to severe peanut allergies aren’t effected by peanut oil. The heating process changes the chemistry. My wife and daughter are both on the serious level and peanut oil for frying is safe. Those with extreme cases like the smell setting them off, is another story.

A member of the staff had just gone into surgery and the staff bowed their heads in a short prayer and many of the customers took part, praying for her well being and praying everything went smoothly.

I have no issue with that. If they bowed their heads in prayer every day just to pray, that I would find very odd. They still have the right to do it, I just would find it odd.

And the guy did get fired. That was the main issue with the lawsuit.

Yep. Peanut oil is the best oil to fry in as well because it has a high flashpoint, although most restaurants use soybean because peanut oil is expensive. I'm sorry to hear about your wife and daughter being allergic. I'm sure you have to be very cautious when you eat out with the family.

Yup. They always have to ask and double check at bakeries especially. Daughter hasn’t had a real reaction yet, because we’ve been very careful. We almost have to do a controlled exposure just to see the reaction, probably before college. Once she’s on her own she really needs to experience it to know. All we’ve seen is from the original prick tests when she unsurprisingly tested serious. Son on the other hand isn’t allergic to anything like me. Wife’s family has shitty allergy genes, hehe. They’re all allergic to something. My side isn’t allergic to anything. They’ve poisoned my pristine bloodline :) ha.

I know plenty about allergies now.

The immune system tends to "stabilize" around the late teens/early 20's.

So many with many allergy issues will see a decrease in symptoms around that time.

And with Peanut allergies each exposure gets worse and worse. Wife didn’t have to use an epipen until college.
