How could the response of the police have been otherwise?

Across an immense, unguarded, ethereal border, Canadians, cool and unsympathetic,
regard our America with envious eyes and slowly and surely draw their plans against us.

Lol...Your partisan blinkers got you confused again.
The fact is that cops tend to be better in the biggest cities while the smaller cities and towns are more likely to be infested with corrupt cops who are white nationalists and have become cops to follow their own racist agenda. That has been going on for a few decades in the US, and it's the real cancer in law enforcement.

    @Andrew Jackson

Apologies. I did not know the other thread existed.
I just saw the story and was impressed with the police officers' restraint
and the abuse to the crowd beyond water, but throwing buckets too.
I will now go view what you had to say on the subject :)

After following @Andrew Jackson link -

Right, I'm sure getting hit in the head by a thrown bucket expresses
your consideration for the cooling effect on a hot day.

Problem with the other thread, No videos.
    Try watch the video!
    ;)

I think we both remember that 4th of July
When the Huntington Beach Police rioted,
No snark. It was the police.
    Si?

    Police sometimes riot.
    Like Chicago, Democratic Convention, 1968
and Huntington Beach Police where on this special
4th of July, they busted people drinking a beer on
their front porch for drinking in public. And did it
most unnecessarily violently in both cases.
