Trump made noise about putting missles in Poland and then dragged his feet. The agreement was signed two years later and Trump wouldnt’ commit to whether American troops would be stationed there.

The sale to Ukraine was a wine time deal. Trump has been waving it around as it it were a much larger commitment than it was.

The US unilateral withdrawal from the ABM treaty was a stupid and reckless (and pointless) move. But it is part and parcel of Trump’s overall tendency to abandon world leadership.

Trump announced sanctions but did not actually enforce them. Several months later, Trump specifically withdrew sanctions on Oleg Deripashka’s aluminum business. It wasn’t a coincidence that this action tracked closely with the sentencing of Paul Manafort. Deripashka had Trump’s former campaign manager on the hook to the tune of $19 million. Trump paid the Russians off on Manafort’s behalf.

Ever eager to do his bit, Moscow Mitch blocked Congressional effort to reinstate the Deripashka sanctions. He was rewarded with a promise of a plant in his district.

The Russian fighters killed in Syria were mercenaries. The only reason they got killed was that the Russians did not tell the Americans who they were.

 

I heard a good line from Katherine Timpf. The only person who learned anything new from Bob Mueller's testimony before congress was Bob Mueller.

 

He is not working with the Russians, but he is not doing anything to prevent them from interfering in our elections. By behaving in this manner, Trump is essentially encouraging the Russians for his benefit.
