Time to move over, left lane slowpokes

Damn! I think we need this law in all states, not just MN!

Being stuck behind a slow driver in left lane is like the most irritating thing ever!

 

This is a two part problem.

1. Keep right except to pass
2. Follow the speed limit, you have no right to go 90 on a 75. You also have no right to come flying up behind someone and ride their tailpipe.

Solution: if you are a slowpoke stay right as much as you can. If you have to pass speed up and pass quickly. If you are a speeder don't be a bullying ass. That's what tailgating is , being a bully.

 

Tailgating is dangerous. Refusing to move over for someone else because you think you have a duty to slow them down is bullying.

Not paying attention to who's behind you is also dangerous.

 

Yup, that's why it's a two part problem most incidents i have seen. Both parties were at fault.

 

EMP vehicle stunners would certainly eliminate bad drivers in time and would be undetectable.

 

Slow people in fast lines cause accidents because of impatient people in all lanes.

Each driver needs to learn how to drive with traffic flow instead of jamming everything up.

And that’s the truth, like it or not.

 

No fast drivers need to not speed just as much as slow drivers need to not impeed traffic. Both parties are equally wrong.

 

I don’t know about both sides, when I finally get to pass an ****** who clogged the left lane I always make a point to look into that car to look at the face of that retard.

 

But you have no right to be speeding either.

 

It’s actually a grey area - most cops close their eyes on your speeding if you pass a car and then move to the right lane and slow down.

 

That's not typically the case. What happens more often than not is everyone is already going 5-10 over and some jerk goung 20 or 30 over comes flying up in the left lane wanting to shove everyone else out of the way.

 

All it takes is to be considerate. If someone is going faster than me, I get out of their way and let them pass because I am considerate. I certainly would appreciate it if others would give me the same respect.

Anyone who thinks it is their duty to slow and impede others is a %#$@^&!

 

Same goes for the guy trying to push others out of the way.

 

Chicken and egg I guess... if the guy in the way wouldn't be in the way, the pusher wouldn't have to push! Heehee!

In the left lane sure. The right lanes gonna have semis and RVs going 75.
Speed up to pass them if you have to.pass.

 

I can't stand people who drive slow in the fast lane. The worst is when two cars match their speed and block even overtaking.

Merging is another bad one. I often find myself close to smashing into the side rail due to drivers being so attrocious at giving the car in front right of way.

They should write this on licenses "THE CAR IN FRONT HAS RIGHT OF WAY WHEN MERGING"

I'm not too fussed, I have a 3 tonne ute with a steel tray, good insurance and a good lawyer. Their car will get messed up bad if they rear end me, I'll be fine. New exhaust on their dime.

 

I agree, lefties are always slow and irritating. I blame Californians.

 

Truck drivers of big rigs are the worst offenders

The set their cruise control and if another truck is 1 mph slower the move to the left lane to pass

But the difference is so small it takes 10 miles before they get around

 

Yeah, when I go on road trips I have to deal with that. Even when you drive at night there are going to be 2 rigs driving at nearly identical speed in both lanes. Sometimes I end up honking and flashing my headlights to get them to move.

 

But that's not right, the car in the established lane has the right of way, the merging vehicle must give way.

 

The car entering traffic is responsible for merging safely

Cars on the freeway do not have to yield right of way

 

Perhaps we have different rules. Here the car in front has right of way as the rear car has better visibility of the other car.

I can see merits in either rule, I don't care which is employed as long as people stick to it.

If I knew the continuing car always had right of way and I knew they knew this I would drive differently and there would be no problem. The problem arises when drivers are out of sync on the rules.

 

It sure is fun watching people struggle to get around those left lane slowpokes, and those I've seen have been going at least the speed limit, so I don't imagine this law would affect them.
