The common thread in all these debates would be WHO instigates and trolls for attention while expressing opinion as fact. Literally every single individual who does this is male and thus has no skin in the game whatsoever. The ONLY possible situation they may have business in would be personal interaction with family or spouse, yet they continuously delve into the lives of absolute strangers to supposedly protect a baby. They also seem to have no interest in what is born and actually IS a baby.

A fetus is living INSIDE OF AND ATTACHED TO a person's body. It is putting that body at risk for various side effects, including, but not limited to, death. An Alzheimer's patient is not.

I do think that people should have the right to assistance in dying. We have that in Canada. If someone is within six months of expected death, they can go through the process to get what is called MAID (Medical Assistance in Dying). A doctor gives them a shot and they go to sleep, never to wake up. (I have no idea why we can do that here, but y'all in the US can't get it right with executions)

Why do anti choicers continue to come up with ridiculous comparisons/scenarios?

Because they have NO actual FACTS to use in their desperate fight to deny women their human rights.

And yet, my "weird tangent" just addressed the post above in a unique way, didn't it, FoxHastings?

In that Japan link, I gave an example of how an Alzheimer patient can put a family at risk. (financial risk, but risk nontheless)

According to Pro-Choice logic, maybe we should just off them.

There is NO logic in saying that Pro-Choicers want to "just off them".

There is NO connection between abortion and euthanasia .

AGAIN: The FACT is Pro-Choice refers to women's right to choose ABORTION OR GESTATION and NOTHING ELSE..

See, Pro-Choicers do NOT all like Fords , spaghetti, or sports...if someone said they do, or should, that is just plain stupid.

Oh well, there are always going to be people who cannot differentiate between a fetus and a human being

It's easier to hold the position you do when you differentiate them from other human beings, isn't it?

The Nazis and slavery proponents could have given us a few pointers on that, couldn't they?

The reality is, Alzheimer's patients have a lot more in common with a fetus than you would care to recognize.
Well, certainly when it comes to abilities and gestational development (which from what I've seen here in the past are the logical core of the Pro-Choice position).

I think that if a person who is born, remember the word person, should be able to provide in a LivingWell that if he does not recognize his family or cannot eat etc. he should be able to end his own life. A fetus was nev a person. Just curious, would you want to be living in a vegetative state?

What if the patient with severe Alzheimer's is no longer suicidal, and no longer unhappy, due to being blissfully unaware?

Remember, we aren't talking about them actually killing themselves. They likely wouldn't be in the mind frame to intentionally do that at that point.

Killing someone because they told you to a year ago, but now can no longer provide their informed consent is not merely just assisted suicide.

If they signed a LivingWell that that is what they would want, it doesn’t matter. Most Alzheimer’s patients are not happy people. Would you want to live like that and be a burden to your family? If so ideally you could make sure you put that in your . will .

And you've pointed out yet another similarity between the Pro-Choice abortion position and euthanasia.

They'd be "a burden" to everyone else.

Absolutely. Don’t you think having an unwanted child that you can’t afford and have to be responsible for 18 years is not a burden? The difference is the woman has the option to not allow it to develop into a person. As I go in an embryo and a fetus are not people.

The Nazi and slavery proponents were in step with Anti-Choicers
who want women enslaved, the right to their bodies taken away, and the decision to gestate or not taken away from them.

Those willing to stretch this far should at least make sure they have a valid point.

Given the damage to tourism by hurricane Dorian, now is the time for the Bahamas to look at a new source of visitor revenue: the Terminal Memory Tour. The tour package would include medical transport for Alzheimer’s patients, lodging for relatives, the sleep medication Propofol, a natural causes death certificate and cremation to prevent stateside coroners from intruding into a family’s private grief.
