And even if they were, they would likely kill less people. Automatic fire is a waste of ammo. Good for suppressive fire, and that's about it.

    Well Facts say otherwise ..............

" The Trump administration has already diminished access to mental health care by expanding the duration of short-term health plans, so-called “junk insurance” plans that do not have to comply with the ACA and typically don’t include coverage for mental health. “People get stuck in these plans, and if they have a behavioral health issue, they’re gonna likely go without needed care,”

Your reply confirms that to be true.

"so-called “junk insurance” plans that do not have to comply with the ACA and typically don’t include coverage for mental health. “People get stuck in these plans, and if they have a behavioral health issue, they’re gonna likely go without needed care."

These plans are frauds and need to be cut off.

If you need to pretend that the Founding Fathers were given to superfluous verbiage that has no impact whatsoever upon what you want the 2nd Amendment to say, I understand your allowing your desire to overcome reason. I, however, assume that they chose their words carefully, and intended them to have meaning.

The 2nd Amendment means whatever 5 unelected demigods on the high court say it means

Your opinion or mine counts for NOTHING

So far they agree with me

    But that could change

Your desperate ad hominems aside, please explain why the Founding Fathers used their ablative absolute, and how the 2nd Amendment's wording is modified by their usage. Surely, you are not suggesting that they were given to meaningless constructs in the Constitution?

They made it perfectly clear so that the common man could understand exactly what it means. They didn't take into account that liberals would go full retard in future centuries. Luckily there are still plenty of people with common sense today that can correctly interpret the constitution. It seems far to complicated for the left to tackle. Take your "ablative absolute" and shove it where the sun doesn't shine. We are keeping our guns. We have more of them than those that want to take them away from us. That is hard power, as opposed to the soft power that your BS is made of.

    Additionally, examine the following:

A well regulated electorate, being necessary for a free state, the right of the people to keep and read books, shall not be infringed.

Who has the right to keep and read books? In what capacities? How may that be limited

Notice how the strict gun laws across the border in Mexico create a safe and peaceful environment.

You need to pretend that the Second Amendment means what you want it to, and the words that the Founding Fathers carefully chose and actually used must be meaningless because they, necessarily, alter the meaning.

I, on the other hand, do not regard the Founding Fathers as being unnecessarily verbose or frivolous. I credit them with saying exactly what they mean to say with the utmost concision.
