I'll see your "news" from kloepfel *whatever it is) and raise you Reuters news. Who do you gonna believe?

And the Airbus was not even notified that British Airways are looking to buy 200 ****ing jets! What a slap across the German faces! :hiding:

An aircraft entering illegal german airspace and dont follow orders and warnings is a threat and could very well led to a 911 scenario. We have laws that guarantee a shotdown in such a scenario.

Or does your US troops support Al Qaida?

Who knows? According to NATO procesdures we could even send your troops the message to shot it down, if they are closest nearby.

P.s.: Your troops are down to 33.000 and within next years most likely down to zero.

    Ami go home

911 "scenario"? ....Like what? Germans will fly planes into buildings?

Lol...you could send a message, sure, doesn't mean we'll shoot it down.:))

Well those 33000 will be moved to Poland and in and around Konigsberg to say "Mornin" to the vatniks everytime they wake up and look out the window.

Germany will still be a main transit for NATO for the foreseeable future.

Mean while Boeing makes red numbers and worst loss in its history

    https://www.cnbc.com/2019/07/24/boeing-earnings-q2-2019.html

Boeing reported a massive second-quarter loss of $2.9 billion on Wednesday — its worst ever — as costs pile up for the aerospace giant while its flagship 737 Max jet remains grounded after two fatal crashes.

Shares of Boeing declined 3.1% from its previous close of $373.07, helping to drag down the Dow Jones Industrial Average.

Boeing lost $5.82 a share in the second quarter of 2019, with revenue falling sharply as well to $15.8 billion. Boeing’s quarterly loss is the biggest in history for the company, according to FactSet, topping a $1.6 billion setback during the financial crisis in 2009.

Saudi Arabia cancels Boeing and switch to Airbus a multi billion € deal

    https://articles2.marketrealist.com/2019/07/boeing-loses-large-737-max-order-to-airbus-a320/

Its good when Boeing makes losses. Americans losing their jobs is always something positive to hear. Boeing CEO already said they have to fire people and propably need to stop 737 production

    https://www.nytimes.com/2019/07/24/business/boeing-earnings-737-max.html

The company is struggling to contain the fallout from two deadly crashes of the Max. It has already announced more than $8 billionin costs related to the accidents, and is producing the planes at a slower rate.

The damage is spreading through the constellation of companies connected to Boeing, the nation’s largest aerospace manufacturer. Airlines around the world have canceled thousands of flights, costing them billions of dollars, and some carriers have reined in expansion plans. Suppliers like General Electric, which makes engines for the Max, are expecting lower revenue in the quarter.

The economic toll is also rising. Orders of durable goods in the United States, which include commercial airplanes, were down 1.3 percent in May, the third drop in four months, according to the Census Bureau.

A 737 that enters german airspace against orders to not to do so is obviously a terror attack.

It would be forced to land, its crew put in prison and teh aircraft confiscated. If it flys close to vulnerable infrastructure like nuclear power plants or cities, it would be shot down. Thats the standard procedure.

Or do you say american troops would not be put in alert, when your NATo partner is facing a potential terror attack?

I have flown on the A380, A320, 747-8, 737, 777. Not much, but in comparing the 737 and the A320 in similar class I don't notice a singificant cabin difference. The A380 was excellent but Boeing doesn't compete in that market.

    In terms of safety:

    http://www.airsafe.com/events/models/rate_mod.htm

Airbus: 35 crashes, 28.3 million flights. 0.81 million flights per crash.

Boeing: 251 crashes, 461 million flights. 1.84 million flights per crash.

Both have identical rates of full loss events per event.

Boeings problem, is that its safety is compromised. The whole world talks about teh design flaws of their MAX. And now it spreads to their otehr models. Airlines say they find trash in new 787, lose screws and cables, lose metal objects. Some airlines denie to take aircrafts produced in a specific factory.

You may agree that airline business depends heavily on trust and good PR. Such reports are poison for Boeing sales.

Here in Germany the biggest media tabloid BILD calls the Boeing 737 MAX "Todesflieger" - Death Plane". You know what this means? That this type of aircraft is comemrcial dead. People call their airlines and ask if they have 737 MAX. Airlines make PR messages saying they own no 737 MAX in their fleet and use this as positive PR.

Boeing fly nearly 20x the number of flights as Airbus.

Fear of aviation is an irrational phobia.

Its a fact that Boeing ****ed up with the 737 MAX. You cant denie that.

They were in panic because A320 NEO. They rushed teh 737 MAX. They installed a faulty Software programmed in India. They depend on a single sensor to deliver information to this said software. They said training is not necessary so MCAS was a mystery for pilots.

I agree, the airliner with 20x the most flights and less than half the number of crashes per flight has a safety issue with the 737MAX.

A safety issue an industry with a 90x lower fatality rate per hour in transit than the automobile industry.

    Zzz.

    No it’s not.
    Engineering is OK.
The software is there serving as a safety measure that prevents aircraft from getting stalled when its climbing. Whoever wrote the software made it overly aggressive.
If the aircraft had engineering problem Boeing would have to create new parts and physically replace them. Engineers actually foresaw the use of 2 sensors, not 1.
    Developing software =/= aircraft engineering.

I write software that generates financial statements from multiple databases and I’m not a ****ing engineer. All I do is manipulate data - you have input parameters and you create script that pulls data from databases, performs calculations, formats data and outputs it into software layer that presents data in a formatted way and allows users to sort, group or drill the data. MCAS is not much different - it takes input parameters from sensors, performs analysis of data and then passes data as output parameters to the aircraft main computer system.
    That’s not engineering.

truth be told, if we wanted to fly sorties over berlin, neither germany nor the eu, could do anything about it except ask "please, pretty please with sugar on top, please dont fly over berlin"

What am I, off ignore list? Quickly, put me back in there, before you regret it :buggered:

Looks like the Boeing, together with the whole of the United States will both declare bankruptcy any day now... should I start making plans to emigrate? Would Germany take me? :roflol:

Indeed, and they're paying the price as they should. So?

    This is how America works.

I do think Boeing’s CEO along with top marketing executives should be fired. What they did was not ethical.

This thing doesn’t shoot higher than 5500 meters.
Good luck shooting airliner going at cruising altitude with it. Don’t forget to film it and warn watchers to buy popcorn.

If and only if they found at least one functional fighter jet in Germany.
I’ve heard those things are rare in your country.

Can your 737 MAX still fly when shelled with FLAK artillery?

Problem solved with Boeing 737 Max flying in German air space.

Fill the Boeing 737 Max with sausages and beer and the German Luftwaffe will provide a fighter escort for the Boeing 737 Max.
