Is the 'Texodus' real? Could the Dems take Texas in 2020? If they can will that lead to many more Democratic presidents?

Don't get too happy, Texas is allowed to divide itself into 5 states.

I wish California could divide itself into two seperate states.

One for the current socialist running California today and the other state for non socialist Americans where the U.S. Constitution is the law of the land.

Texas is the only state that can divide itself, it was it's own republic before becoming part of the US and dividing was part of the agreement. Whether it's possible for them to do so is another matter, the agreement could be as binding as all the other agreements we didn't follow. The Indians don't call us forked tongue without reason.

When it came to dealing with Comanches, the Texas Rangers did a damn good job.
Texas is the only state in the West that doesn't have federal indian reservations.

One, Texas will not be allowed to divide itself into any states.

Two, Biden's polling has steadily showing that he has had a slight lead over Trump in Texas since the beginning of the race.

Three, when Texas goes blue, the GOP becomes a permanent minority party.

Don't remember if they figured that out during the American Civil War or during the Napoleonic wars ?

Which would likely lead to several states seceding from the union.

Texas, like every other state, can not divide itself into 5 states, or secede from the union. This would require an act of Congress.

Sure they can. The question is whether we will have a war to stop them, and who will The People view as the 'bad guy' if we do.

They can not. Texas v White.

The question was settled 2 centuries ago. States can not secede. And yes, if one tries we will go to war again and and set them straight.

    Uh huh...

You realize if a state secedes, it takes a lot of its military infrastructure with it right? Couple that with an armed citizenry and you have a very difficult target, especially for a military being supported by a population base that for various reasons are generally sympathetic to greivances against the federal govt.

Its very likely that a federal war against a seceded state today would instigate more secessions.

Consider Trump trying to get WA to send troops to help force CA back into the union at gunpoint? Or Obama (or whoever the left elects next) trying to get MT to send troops to help force TX back into the union at gunpoint.

I don't think its going to go the way you think...

How do you know that? Texas had an agreement allowing them to divide and make up to 5 states if they wanted to when they joined the US. How can any of us know if that agreement is still binding?

Lol, no. A single state stand exactly zero chance against the US military.

And every state that secedes will get their ass handed to them again.

We already know the way it goes. This was tried already.

Equating the strategic and political situation of the first American civil war and today is a total fallacy.

Any one of our medium to large states would be a harder target than Afghanistan.

No it isn’t. And I simply pointed out a single state and it’s “armed civilian population” stand exactly zero chance against the US military.

    Lol no.
