That is the DEBUNKED PABLUM that you believe?

Using a RACIST like that to support your utterly bogus allegations just destroys what few shreds of credibility you might have had left.

But that is NOT my problem.

Thank you for proving my point about the content of posts EXPOSING the factual reality behind the PRETENSE.

Totally wrong. Now you’re confessing to know nothing about these tests. No, an IQ number is NOT assigned as a result of the tests. They are performance tests. Take the PSAT. Kids are allowed to improve upon their scores because they are SKILL tests.it prepares them for the SA T test. THESE TESTS MEASURE THE SKILLS NEEDED TO SUCCEED IN SPECIALIZED AREAS. We have entire classes designed around these skill tests. They are an admittance that kids can change their performance levels on tests simply by practicing and preparing for them. That flys in the face of the IQ test which is a one time predictor that haunts you the rest of your life.
If a kid is poorly fed, he’s obviously going to do worse on these and any test. Early childhood intervention and exposure to reading has a huge effect on these tests.....why, because it certainly isn’t if they are white or Brown. It’s whether they are poor or not with fewer exceptions.

Again, name one school that uses IQ tests.....you can’t. PSAT and SAT and ASVAB test are not IQ tests. You’re totally immersed in making s.h.i.t. Up.

Science says no such thing. It says that an IQ test tell you how ell you will do on the next IQ test, based as much on motivation and preparedness as anyother factor. That makes IQ test results, CONTROLLABLE. It’s a completely baseless number when used to pigeon hole people the rest of their lives.

Do you admit that a poorly fed, or child that has poor reading skills will do worse on an IQ test, especially if he/she can’t read directions due to language barriers and lack of motivation ? How about if they are immersed in the trauma of abuse ? Science gets it, you who know nothing, don’t.

This is the AAAS on IQ tests. Read it and get out of the 1970s. And bigotry.

The real view of science on IQ tests.

......that differences in IQ scores largely disappear when researchers control for social and economic factors.”

Exactly. Changing social and economics make as much a difference as “changing your parents.”
IQ numbers like any test scores are malleable.
There is a bigger difference within races as there is between races as far as genetic make up is concerned.

    BS.
Federal law forbids IQ numbers used as predictive factors because ALL TEST SCORES ARE CONTROLLABLE by social and economic factors as they are by hereditary. They used science to come to this conclusion while you use bigotry

    Great links, thank you.

As someone who has always exercised moderately, except for one extended period of illness, I find myself wanting to keep myself physically active in retirement. The feeling of well being from moderate exercise is reward enough to continue doing it for the rest of my life.

I'd just like to point out the irony of insisting there are no races and then saying black Americans have 25% white genes. How can there be "black" and "white" genes if we're all one race?

Right, but there are far more poor blacks than there are poor whites as a percentage of their respective populations. In other words, IQ has a massive sorting effect economically. So naturally if you group all the economically similar people together, their IQ's are going to be similar. Which is why there are almost no blacks in the upper income levels and scientific disciplines.

"According to the new survey data, just 2.1% of physics faculty in the country are African American and 3.2% Hispanic. Those values come nowhere near the representation of those groups in the general population, where 13% of Americans are black and 17% Hispanic. The overwhelming majority--79.2%--of physics faculty are white. “[M]ost physics students will never see a black faculty member,” says the AIP report. And the situation doesn't look set to change: the number of African American faculty members has flatlined since 2000."

    https://www.smithsonianmag.com/smar...-how-white-and-male-still-striking-180952021/

Poverty rate: Whites: 8%; Blacks: 20%; Hispanics: 16%

    https://www.kff.org/other/state-ind...-raceethnicity/?currentTimeframe=0&sortModel={%22colId%22:%22Location%22,%22sort%22:%22asc%22}

Millionaires by race/ethnicity: White: 76%; Black: 8%; Hispanic: 7%; Asian: 8% (much higher than their 3% of the population)

    https://www.statista.com/statistics/300528/us-millionaires-race-ethnicity/

That's like saying men don't have bigger feet than women just because there's a bigger difference among men's foot sizes than the difference between men's and women's feet. The latter is true, but on average, men's feet are still bigger than women's feet.

Incorrect. IQ scores were banned because it was felt this was something that was inherited and therefore uncontrollable by the individual. Other tests are allowed because they aren't quite as resistant to change by the individual, but they still act as proxies for IQ, and IQ is massively related to how well you will do in life, academically, at work, and economically.

From your own link: Yet Duckworth and her colleagues caution that motivation isn't everything: The lower role for motivation in academic achievement, they write, suggests that "earning a high IQ score requires high intelligence in addition to high motivation." ... Even if native intelligence cannot be increased, Borghans says, "there might be other routes to success."

By the way, ALL the studies showing that IQ is malleable are on children, and most of those are children under the age of 12. The IQ differences at age 18 are extremely resistant to change, and are within 5 IQ points of the parents, regardless of how high or low they were at age 12. Can severe malnutrition, physical abuse, or isolation cripple a child for life? Yes, they can, but those are very rare cases. And each person is born with an upper limit to IQ, kind of like height. A child who grows up not getting enough food will never achieve his/her upper height limit, but a child who is stuffed with food as a child will never exceed that upper height limit, he won't grow 10' tall, but will just get fat. This is why you can have rich, high IQ parents with a low IQ child. They give the child the best of everything, every opportunity, but the child's genetic IQ will not budge. And that child will fall back into the middle class or lower as an adult because of that IQ handicap.

Want to read something REALLY depressing? I didn't understand "regression to the mean" when I first read about it in The Bell Curve, but this really brought it home to me... The children of black parents earning more than $100K a year have an average IQ lower than that of the children of white parents earning less than $20K a year. Meaning high IQ black parents are not passing on their high IQ genes to their kids. That's truly sad.

Once more, here's Jordan Peterson talking about what kind of work you're qualified to do depending on your IQ, and the terrible results if your IQ is below 87, which constitutes HALF of all blacks. (Since the black unemployment level is quite a bit below 50%, there must be something these folks are doing.)

That's bs . If that's true then sat psat and asvab test scores are uncontrollable and none of that is true. Test only test what is being asked and everyone who practices and prepares and is motivated does much better. Science from the AAAS says so .. your bogus racist driven ideas are 50 years behind. No
major institution uses IQ numbers . Name one.

So, if it’s your contention that poverty indicates intelligence, then we have 17 million white and only 9 million black and Hispanic. So really, who in actual numbers is driving down the IQ level ?
It has to be those dumb 17 million whites by your argument. The world doesn’t function in percentages but actual people.

Because of regression to the mean, the blacks & Hispanics. The 17 million poor whites will have kids that regress toward a mean of 100 while the 34 million blacks will have kids that regress toward a mean of 85 and the 52 million Hispanics will have kids that regress toward a mean of 90. We now have TWO permanent underclasses, and the fact that the Hispanics are having double or more the number of kids as native whites means the dysgenic effect of the Hispanics in the country is only getting worse. We're rapidly approaching the status of Brazil, where the white population is now just 48% and the rest of the population is poor, ignorant, and violent.

Moving the goal posts. You originally asked which institutions used IQ. All of them do.

You can practice for the SAT, PSAT, and ASVAB because they aren't inextricably linked one to one with IQ. But studying for them does reveal one of the other factors, which is motivation. But as the woman pointed out, no amount of motivation will increase one's native IQ, and native IQ is what is necessary to do well on any of those tests. Motivation can help, but

Crappola. By your own statement, without proof.
“Incorrect. IQ scores were banned because it was felt this was something that was inherited and therefore uncontrollable by the individual. “

Also, you state without poof, that sat, psat and asvab tests are quasi IQ tests. That means you are also the implying that all are uncontrollable.
You’re saying that whether you go to school, attend, study more or even take the right courses p, you’re going to score on psat, sat and asvab you’re going to score the same. So, it does no good to take advanced math classes before your sat and PSAT.
Sample tests include geometric figures...trig and advanced algebra.

So by your resonating, you don’t need algebra or geometry to answer the questions. Because after all, SATs are uncontrollable.
There is so much bs it’s unbelievable .

You said psat and sat were quasi IQ tests and match IQs.
That means they must be UNCONTROLLABLE.

Don’t say, “all of them do.” When you have no proof.
You can’t say sat tests are like IQ tests results then say studying for them increases your score. YOU CLAIM IQ TESTS ARE UNCONTROLLABLE.
name an institution that hires based upon IQ scores.m

Oh, now motivation matters for sat tests but not IQ tests ( even though the aaas disagrees with you) even though one is a form of the other. You’re saying you can’t improve in IQ test scores by practicing them ?
