Nah. Probably raped and set of fire, and then murdered.

 

I’ll take my chances with mistaken idenity or accidential discharge if more 14-year old girls are able to protect themselves from the really evil animals roaming our streets

 

Maybe even dismembered

Absolutely incredible--surreal actually-- that the left defends the criminal thugs, and demonizes the victims. I really can't believe this. You should be happy the little girl and her siblings weren't all raped, beat, set on fire and murdered.

I am in a down moment.. but it doesn't keep me from acknowledging the truth.

 

Except it's not the truth. A teen getting down on themselves in a moment does not equal bad parenting. It's called being human. We all have moments of self-doubt. Anyone who says they don't is lying.

 

That is very true. However, good parenting (guidance) can help a person get through those moments of self-doubt much easier than a person without any guidance at all.

When you were a teenager, did you talk to your parents about your social life? I sure know I didn't, and I sure know my teenage son is not very forthcoming with information.

 

and if a child doesn't feel safe talking to their parents about whats going on in their lives that child has bad parents.

nope, and i had bad parents.

i am not saying that being a good parent is easy. I'm saying its exceptionally easy to be a bad parent.

 

Let me tell you something: I consider myself a good parent, I'd do anything for my kids, I TRY to talk to them all the time (often they don't want to talk). Yet, when my son had a crisis last year with a possible suicide attempt (we still don't know), we had no idea what was coming. So, before you judge others regarding parenting, maybe walk in their shoes for a while and see how easy it is.

 

Except deaths in firearm accidents are 0.4% of all fatal accidents.

 

That's why you don't wait for them to come to you.

Trust with your kids is built from day 1.

A couple of days ago I was listening to a leftie talking head radio show. He was reading a commercial for a popular camera security system and was proud of the fact that the absent homeowners were alerted to the break-in in their urban home and that the alarm company had dispatched the police that made it to the scene in just 45 minutes.

 

That little girl is a senior citizen compared to my hero.

America is far to tolerant of crime. Stories like this should be the norm not the exception.

 

Bad parenting, bad genes, taking street drugs or sniffing glue (I guess the new thing is inhaling wasp spray poison, probably worse than inhaling Freon), bad school, bad psychiatric prescription, bad social media, someone talking her into it and encouraging her all the way through the suicide, bad Netflix, bad something.

 

Good natural instinct to survive, then thrive.

 

And by then the crooks could have loaded up a U-Haul and cleaned the home out.
