How about a permanent constitutional ammendment that prohibits spending more than the revenue brought in ,except during a congressionally declared war, the budget to include interest and principle payments on the national debt that are high enough to actually lower our debt. The rest of the budget to be determined by whats left over after SS,MC, and debt payments.
No, it is people that planned well and people that went back to thier home countries. I had a uncle that went back to Portugal where he was born when he retired. And what does sending checks overseas even mean anymore. I could live overseas and withdraw as much money as like thru a chase or BOA card.
I often think about the blessings and bounty we enjoy here in a Country founded on God's rules.. most of the world would consider themselves "rich" just to have the things we throw away.
Sure, what about putting it to a vote where all US citizens pay a flat tax percentage of 35% after the fed poverty level deduction for family size. A corporate tax rate of 10%, get rid of SS after 20 years and then a payment of the federal poverty level at age 68. And universal healthcare. We earn 20 trill a year we will raise 8 trill in taxes our present budget is 5 trill so that leave 3 trill more to cover the 60% of people that the government does not cover now. You make 75,000 as a family of 4 you deduct 26,000 have a 5% deduction for 401 gives you a total of 30,000 in deductions so 45X .35% is 16,000, for that 16,000 you get a "pension" of $13,000 a year all your healthcare and no SS medicare taxes.
disagree, tax cuts for the rich do not help, Trickle down has proven to be a failure food stamps and other programs not only help the poor, but the local communities and business as well
It only helps the poor if it gets them out of poverty. If you never get off the assistance it's not helping.
Do you think a janitor has the same drive and brain capacity as, for example, a fortune 500 CEO but simply chooses to be a janitor because he's getting food stamps?
My mistake he did say in 8 years.his first 4 years he would do nothing but add as much as he could to it.
He actually said he'd eliminate it in 8 years. However, hasn't it increased to about $22 trillion on his watch? If he's going to eliminate it...what the hell is he waiting for??? Hahaha
What's that got to do with anything? Your wages are determined by how much you're worth to the company not how much other people are worth. Hierarchy of competence!
You are out of touch with reality if you think you can survive in many places of the US with that amount of money.
CEO's and Senior Executives and Boards of Directors are paid as much as they can possibly squeeze out of a company usually at the expense of the rank and file employee.A phenomenon that only came to the USA since the widespread introduction of 401K's during the Reagan administration.Prior to that they earned much more relatable salaries to average workers.
