Angry Joe Friday guy in 2017. Lol....People have been smoking weed for centuries Joe. Some of the greatest innovators in music, film, art and science in the past 60 years have been and are weed smokers, wine drinkers, beer drinkers, whiskey drinkers, mushroom eaters, cigarette smokers and other substance users. This is supposed to be the land of the free. It’s about time that we don’t have an army of storm troopers out there sniffing peoples asses, kicking down doors, digging through trash cans and listening to peoples private phone conversations. This CONservative nanny state crap needs to be abolished. Remember Tex, Willie Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Johnny Cash and Kris Kristofferson all smoked weed prolifically. Pack up your truck and move back to 1955.

So what about the druggies pissing in doorways and sleeping on the streets and abusing normal people? Why don't normal people get to live their lives without having to dodge the needles in gutters, s**t on the sidewalks and aggressive fried brain pan druggies accosting them. And why would not legalization make the problem worse?

I don't care what you do to scramble your innards. If you are so weak you need chemical enhancement to make your life worthwhile I DON'T CARE. If I have to trip over your s**t on the street, dodge your needles or move your unconscious body out of my doorway or deodorize my property, or pay more taxes to take care of you as the result of your "freedom", then I want your butt in jail and your dealer in a grave.

Willie's a tax dodger, Waylon and Johnny died early. Kris fried his brain. Those are your heros? LOL.

I disagree with you observation. I live close to Durango. I have to go there regular. None of what you describe is true.
Neither in the town I live in or the towns surrounding it.
I am amazed how little the deregulation of dope has changed Colorado.
The newest thing is dope tourism, makes a lot of money.
Homeless and basically moneyless, you can not afford dope. The crap is very expensive.
Prescription drugs and hard liquor, vapor from paint, hairspray dissolved in water to get the alcohol out, antifreeze it fries their brains, one can tell. Dope only through illegal source, like it has been before, 1/3 of what it cost in the store.

Pissing on the street is illegal and so is littering and loitering. I fully support arresting people who are a public nuisance. I do not need any chemicals to enhance my life, however I do enjoy drinking and smoking whenever I choose. I sure in the hell don’t need some goodie two shoes twit like you telling me what I can and can not do in the privacy of my own home or out in nature. I am a normal person Tex. You are the one who seems like a blowhard busybody who is anti freedom and pro polce state. Colorado is just fine too. I was in Durango last summer and it’s still great. I know a guy who owns three bars downtown and he’s doing great. If anyone pisses outside his door or camps out in front of one of his places he just runs their asses out or calls the cops who will arrest them if they are becoming a liability. The same was true long before weed was legalized. In any town there have always been a few drunks and druggies hanging around.

Also, The Highwaymen were one of the greatest acts America has ever seen and Willy Nelson has no doubt payed a hell of a lot more in taxes than a little whiner like you has ever made. He has also helped out more farmers and others than any American in history. He is an American Treasure. Who’s your hero? Are you a 12 stepper or just a tea totteler? You must not be a lot of fun to hang out with...

Of course it does, drugs are merely today's vice, but if they were gone there would be a new vice being peddled. This is about people making a quick buck who have no education, no future prospects to earn money legally, and no problem murdering people who get in their way. There are drugs in every community, used and sold by every race, there are warrants issued to people of every race, yet see very different patterns of behavior. When was the last time some Asian guy shot up the cops for executing a warrant? Clearly there is something else at play here, why are you defending these people and blaming the drugs?

Most murders aren't committed with 'assault weapons' not sure what your point is. Especially since you seem completely ignorant of the fact no weapon kills anyone by themselves, it takes a criminal for that, yet you folks blame the gun...

Yeah, the operative word about there have always been drunks and druggies was "few". Now there are many more. Legalizing chemical lobotomies for the weak willed will mean even more. You missed the point again. I don't care WHAT chemical enhancements to your sorry life you feel you need. I don't want to be a victim of the effects of your attempts to find nirvana at the end of a crack pipe. Until you can guarantee normal people you won't become a public nuisance, danger or charge, I want fewer opportunities for the weak and lazy to embalm their brains.
