Perhaps, but it certainly didn't appear that way in the video (that he was just fooling around)

Is the absurdity of the comment the only thing that leads you to the conclusion that he was just kidding?

He has had some success but is that a valid measure of his intelligence given the enormous advantages he was born into? As far as recognizing and capitalizing on weakness, can you site an example?

My Chinese roommate in the 70's told me about the long view, you would think these people would pay attention to what Trump was saying before he got elected. He was chosen for this and the Supreme Court, and immigration...

I didn't find it to be absurd at all. It was like saying, "none of the other presidents did anything about it, so I guess I'm the one that has to deal with it", except he said it in a more comedic way. I got a chuckle out it.

I'm paying about $14K less in taxes thanks to Trump. Even if your's didn't go down, you're benefiting from the Trump economy caused by his tax bill.

That seems to have been the prevailing sentiment.

Now they're triggering themselves over their own distortions.

Let me guess..... because you lost your state tax deduction (SALT)? If so, cry me a river, the rest of us have been taking up the slack for those overtaxed states for too long already. Take it up with your own states and your own high taxes :)

Who tf cares who’s a hypocrite here? Most probably are but again, who gives a sh**? That said, for those struggling to keep up, this thread is about trump narcissism, not the media’s coverage of the potus.

Exactly, why should the rest of the country subsidize a handful of big spending LW states?

A fool and his money are soon parted. He turned it into more money and that is not easy. One example of capitalizing on weakness is his campaign. People struggling to mage a living while the government forcefully confiscates a large amount, want a president they think will provide them with some relief. The weakness was the overreach of the left and the other republican candidates failure to present themselves as willing to fight for them.

The time was ripe for a Trump win. Im a little surprised the left is running with higher taxes, reparations, and recession. That is what he needs to win again.

In the end, he is just less of a thief than the other party.

Oh BS, blue states have been paying more since the Federal tax was implemented. I am single and never married, and was 1099 for almost 10 yrs, I don't some braying and bleating Trump supporter piling the BS about taxes.

What is the saying, "a rising tide lifts all boats"? Meaning, an improving economy helps everyone, even if you might not be able to see it directly.

I'm trying to think who might legitimately be able to claim they haven't benefited under Trump, and the only groups I can think of who might not have seen much improvement to their bottom line would be a) welfare recipients and b) folks who lost their state and local tax deductions (SALT.) I say boo-hoo to those crying about losing their SALT deductions, take it up with your state government, not Trump. To any welfare folks complaining they're not wealthy enough under Trump, I say boo-hoo to them too ---- if you don't like it, get a job.

For the majority of the population their taxes have either stayed the same or gone down. Wages have stayed the same or gone up. We've added jobs. Consumer confidence is up, which helps anyone with a business or job which involves sales. Regulations are down, which helps folks with their own businesses. Unemployment is down, which means there are more people actually earning a living instead of living off of the government. This is all GOOD.

I own my own business and I don't have kids, so I didn't see some of the most direct tax benefits. However, my business revolves around a non-essential luxury item, and my business has increasingly grown now that consumer confidence has returned (#thanksTrump!)

I see you've danced around but not really answered the question yet ---- did you lose a SALT state tax deduction? Is that your grudge against Trump? That is the most likely explanation for your claims that you haven't benefited under Trump.

WOW. that is quite the fairy tale. Crazy Donnie lives in an alternate reality, and it is quite amazing that members of his cult voluntarily agree to share his vision. The plutocratic socialist, Crooked Donnie, like so many of his fellow supply-side socialists, believe in a government of the rich people, by the rich people, and for the rich people.

Once again, your questions are irrelevant to the discussion of the lunacy of Crazy Donnie.
