Yeah, weed is starting to look like a miracle drug. Irony in the extreme!

Teen use has dropped by something like 10% in States with legal recreational pot.

I would never advocate :weed: as safe for children
except under such circumstances as enhancing ability to concentrate in ADHD types
    or inhibiting seizures.

    Not surprised in the least.

Remove the "It's VERBOTEN!" And temptation drops, reducing the urge in minors.

Remove the Bullshit Taboo and adults won't feel negative stigma.

Like every proponent of Cannabis has said, since forever.

Teen Marijuana Use Down, Adult Use Up

    https://cannabisnow.com/teen-mariju...GXsKmG94wEo6ur02uog2jRv8qjRvCzuya3Tv7Hv37GeEU IMG_20190824_204842.jpg
    From the piece:

"But who are the people smoking all of this weed?

Well, it is not who you might expect. It is those Americans between the ages of 18 and 25 that are getting high the most, the survey finds. The next age group where marijuana use is becoming more prevalent is those 26 and older. This is the first time in history that this demographic has surpassed teenagers in their pot-smoking endeavors. But that’s because marijuana consumption among the youngsters in this country appears to be in decline. While the rates of adult marijuana use have double nationwide, teenaged consumption rates have dropped off by around 25%. Alcohol is still the leading drug of choice among teens, but they are even drinking less, similar studies have shown. They have presumably watched the members of their family mess up their lives through substance abuse and now have an aversion to that lifestyle."

“Regulation and education is a more effective and a more preferable tool to discourage youth use and access than is criminalization,” NORML Deputy Director Paul Armentano said in a statement. “A pragmatic regulatory framework that allows for the legal, licensed commercial production and retail sale of marijuana to adults but restricts its use among young people — coupled with a legal environment that fosters open, honest dialogue between parents and children about cannabis’ potential harms — best reduces the risks associated with the plant’s use or abuse. By contrast, advocating for the marijuana’s continued criminalization only compounds them.”

Last time I tried it, years ago, I took one drag off a pipe and it was like I shotgunned a 5th of jack. I had about 2 mins of euphoria, followed by a half hour of what I would liken to the daze of having been hit in the head really hard, followed by the rest of the day being too dizzy and nautious to do anything but lay on my stomach in the dark.

I havn't tried it again, and Im not going to.

One of my good friends, otoh, was suicidal, jobless, emotionally abusive to his wife, and perpetually restless and anxious about everything. He was on all sorts of prescriptions for old injuries and psych meds for his anxiety, but they werent doing F all as far as I could tell. Then he dumped all of em and uses edibles regularly. Now hes just a regular, happy, hard working family man, if occassionally slightly 'spacey.'

IMO weed saved his marriage, his family and his life.

TBH, the medicinal benefits (pain mgmt, psychological issues etc.) Are why I use and grow.

I know cannabis has saved my life.

    Today everything is so "hybridized".
    Feels like benedryl. :(

I wish for a good, primarily mind high
Sativa such as Green Crack or Pink Champagne.

And a good Indica. Sleepy time smoke.

Add Bubba Kush where ever it fits.
All GWTW with all being hybridized.

    same. same. same :(

Hard to find a good peach fruit too. fuzzy. juicy. acidy. sweet.
    Si?

Hope Florida will allow grows in my lifetime, climate is perfect for Sativa. Indica dominant strains, grown outdoors are very prone to mold here. Those dense nugs are pretty but tend to mature in the peak of rainy season. They get rained on near daily and cant dry out. Bud rot can wipe you out in a hurry.

As a matter of fact, yes.

    You can feel different effects.

Strain's have less to do with flavor profiles, than sought for effects. Taste don't get you off.

IDK, Rhino has a HUGE yield potential, (SOG, SCROG, Hydroponic or soil, indoor or out) and is forgiving so far as growing conditions go.

One made many large and beautiful seeds, are they any good or genetically bound to create only hermies?

Cloning and careful growing are the primary reasons for lack of seeds.

Back in the day, most of the weed in the U.S., grew in ditches in Mexico.

At least it did back in '79 when I started.

Cloning is good and well when you have an ideal strain but does nothing for developing new strains. Most growers destroy hermies and rip up males, right away. Really no reason to waste resources on one unless you want to breed your own cross.

A shame, a male should always be isolated and nipped to a few flowers to collect a bit of pollen to selectively pollinate ONE bud, anyways. Keeps the next gen...interesting.

Yeah no doubt on the seed thing.

I save what few males I get, for the purpose of seeding again.. clones don't do well in my grow, in the winter...due to where it's at... but I'm not patient enough to start new Strains anyway.

Once (if ever) it gets legal here, then I'll play around more...

Knew a fella that grew in the woods once. EVERYTHING in Fl wants to eat your weed. From mammals to insects to various molds and mildews, it's a blessed wonder that any guerilla crop ever sees harvest time. Clones will take in a pot of good soil here, with rooting hormone, most definitely so.

Just not worth the risk, at this point in time, but a fella can do research.

Oh for some pure sativa trees.
