First of all, the Maginot Line was not a wall. It was a line of turrets and defensive structures to stop MILITARY attack.

If the Mexican 3rd Donkey Brigade was trying to force march through a flank that doesn't exist in a forest that doesn't exist to attack targets with their tanks that don't exist, you'd have a point.

    You don't though.

Nice references from dumb people there.

By suggesting Democrats are funding border security.

    They are not.

You might want to do a little research. There were many asylum seekers that crossed the border where there was no wall or where the wall was inadequate....and then they sat waiting for the Border Patrol to pick them up. For one period, there were over 1000 a day doing this. That is much more than "some exceptions".

Hint: When an article mentions "apprehensions", these are not the people waiting outside the "front door". These are people that crossed the border illegally and were picked up by Border Control.

It appears that you might be the one that needs to think, open their eyes, and clean out their ears.

Right.. exactly.. you make my point for me..

The immigrants aren't coming with tanks or have specific military goals... they just have to cross a huge imaginary line.. you put a wall here, they'll just go there..

    Too easy..

Wont work... wont get built.. president idiot

If the 3rd Mexican Civilian Division would like to march 500 miles towards the only opening in that stretch of wall, then I'd say it did exactly what it was intended to do.

Walls work, which is why leftists fight tooth and nail to stop them from going up.

If they didn't work, they wouldn't care.

The walls we already have work, the walls in Israel work, the walls in Europe that have been going up by the thousands of miles are working.

Your Maginot Line reference is not just a failure because of the incongruency in it's purpose, function and physical characteristics.....the Maginot Line failed because you COULD go around it.

Thanks for presenting one logical argument: The wall needs to be comprehensive across the border so they can't go around it.

Can't wait to see Mexicans guerra relámpago campaign though.

I did not say all. The asylum speakers are a problem but not a major problem as illegals who sneak in. Asylum seekers want to get to a point where they can announce themselves as asylum seekers.they are not going to be deterred by a wall.

They even had one of the landowners arrested and charged with unlawful imprisonment and kidnapping for stopping some invaders from coming across his land. Imagine you stopped and held a burglar in your house and waited for the police to come get them and YOU get charged and prosecuted.

Right. And you keep your front door open because unauthorized home items procurement agents will get in your house anyway, so leave the door open.

You have to dig the holes FIRST.

Otherwise you could be out there all day digging holes.

Funny how so many just believe without any skepticism 'unnamed sources' that have so often been wrong. I suppose if it plays into their confirmation bias will be the reason they believe it without any proof but that says more about them than anything else.

    Typical Trump strategy:
ACT ONE: Propose something blatantly illegal/unconstitutional that his base loves.
ACT TWO: Allow to percolate in the press and court for two days.
ACT THREE: Wait for pundits and courts to declare the act illegal or unconstitutional.
ACT FOUR: Claim you were just kidding. Wassamatter can't take a joke.
    Rinse repeat.

ACT FIVE: Wait for SCOTUS to say "go ahead and do it, the other courts are morons."

All of the outrage about condemning land for a wall seems in part based on an absurd assumption that people who own border land do not want a wall -- as if they enjoy swarms of illegals and drug mules tromping across their property, i.e. welcome trespassing, trash, and crime. For many getting a wall will be a double win. They will get money for worthless property and have their remaining property protected from illegals.

Or just leave a gap in the wall where their property is so they can enjoy all of them funneled onto their land.

    They'll reconsider.

I don't disagree. The best approach is to motivate people not to come in the first place. That is easy by tweaking a few laws. But since congress has no interest in reducing illegal immigration, the wall is an attempt to reduce a little of it. If I were to walk from Honduras to Texas I wouldn't let a wall get in my way either. As to drugs, they come across at the ports and across the desert.

That is being denied. If the NYT or WaPo report it with unnamed sources, it is highly suspect. Those 2 papers are not reliable for telling the truth. They are now the Get-Trump-at-all-Costs papers to the detriment of their own reputations. And then all the other Lib outlets latch onto to it. Anonymous sources is not a way to inspire confidence in the validity of a story. Yet Libs keep pushing these papers as if they are gospel. They have been caught too many times.
