It seems strange to not impeach. We can't possibly let this go on if he were to win again. How can anyone support him? I would think this is truly the most ridiculous time in American political history.

We are so lucky the framers knew how to create a system that could withstand such an absurdity.

Trump’s schedule shows a president with plenty of downtime this summer
    https://www.latimes.com/politics/story/2019-09-03/trumps-schedule-shows-a-president-in-inaction

Barbara Res, a longtime Trump Organization executive, said Trump appears less active now than when she managed construction projects for him in the 1980s and 1990s.

“He’s working less. He seems to care less about his job now than he did back when I was working for him,” Res said. “Maybe it’s because he has more confidence or a greater sense of power sitting in the Oval Office. He thinks he can say and do anything now, or not do anything.”

She added, “It looks like he’s not even trying, but he thinks he’s trying. To him, all the watching TV and tweeting is work, so he believes he’s on the clock 24-7, 365.”

Trump's mental decline is perfectly clear for those with eyes to see and ears to hear

    https://thehill.com/opinion/campaig...tly-clear-for-those-with-eyes-to-see-and-ears
There are so many things that President Trump does on a daily, sometimes hourly, basis to demonstrate his unfitness for office that the country’s head is spinning. His latest fiasco led many – including his former friend and communications director, Anthony Scaramucci – to suggest he might be mentally unwell.

I am speaking about the moment Trump stood in the Oval Office, showing a clearly doctored version of Hurricane Dorian’s track on which a Sharpie-drawn expanded circle included Alabama in the possible path of the storm. When asked who drew the black mark that was clearly not part of the official map, Trump said “I don’t know, I don’t know.” We have since learned, according to a close adviser, that it was Trump himself who drew the mark.

So, your complaint is that Trump is the President?

    True.

What's interesting though, is how his supporters are okay with him as president and defend the indefensible. Like I said, this has to be the strangest time. Not only is he incapable, but it seems strange that they think he is doing right by them.

Anyway, if he wins again, I support impeachment.

His support amongst his base is the highest out of any Republican president in recent history. Perhaps you don't understand what his supporters want, which probably explains why he is President...

I think I know what they want.

Nevertheless, I find it amazing that any of them feel Trump is the answer. It's just ridiculous.

The question is how many staunch, blindly devoted supporters remain, and how many have come to their senses.

Before Trump was elected he was an under the Radar nut Job.

Fake Covers of Magazines, Buying Ads to promote himself, Reality TV show that eschews chaos as well as bending tax and business laws

After his erratic decisions, name calling of Americans and Allies, flip flop decisions, going against norms for the sacred office he holds

All done on the world stage resulting in weakening and humiliating America

Trump will Lose 2020 handily as well as the Republicans who sat idly by condoning his actions.

Then Dems will work hard to re-establish American values and norms

I guess this is why Trump is going on about Alabama...seems funny to sort of want the hurricane to hit there, but it's not like he ever makes sense.

Trump’s approval ratings sink in key battleground states, but not in Alabama
    https://www.alreporter.com/2019/08/...n-key-battleground-states-but-not-in-alabama/

Alabama still has love for President Donald Trump, but slightly less than the state did when he took office, and Trump is underwater in most key battleground states ahead of his 2020 re-election bid.

Alabama leads the nation in support of Trump, with a 61 percent approval rating. That’s down 10 percentage points from the time he took office until July 1, according to the most recent poll from Morning Consult, a Washington D.C.-based polling firm.

In many of the 12 key battleground states, however, Trump’s approval ratings for July are in the negative.

Well I said I'm amazed they (anyone with any sense) think Trump is the answer to what they want.

If crazy people want a crazy president...then Trump makes perfect sense.

    Battleground states:

New Hampshire – 40 percent approval, 57 percent disapproval

Wisconsin – 41 percent approval, 55 percent disapproval

Michigan – 42 percent approval, 54 percent disapproval

Iowa – 43 percent approval, 54 percent disapproval

Nevada – 43 percent approval, 54 percent disapproval

Pennsylvania – 45 percent approval, 54 percent disapproval

Arizona – 45 percent approval, 52 percent disapproval

Ohio – 45 percent approval, 51 percent disapproval

North Carolina – 48 percent approval, 49 percent disapproval

Florida – 48 percent approval, 49 percent disapproval

Georgia – 49 percent approval, 47 percent disapproval

Texas – 51 percent approval, 49 percent disapproval

Trump lost the popular vote by almost 3 million in 2016, but narrow victories in Wisconsin (.7 points) , Pennsylvania (.7 points) and Michigan (.2 points) won him the presidency with a combined 77,744 votes in those three states.

Since taking office, Trump’s net approval rating in Wisconsin has fallen by 20 percentage points, down to 41 percent. It’s much the same in Michigan, where Trump’s net approval numbers fell by 20 percent, down to 42 percent.

In Pennsylvania Trump’s net approval rating is 45 percent, down by 17 percentage points since he took office.

Not just my mind. Many many minds....more every day.

You think Trump's behavior each day is normal? Even for a regular person, he's a nut...some troll going on about how they were right about Alabama, drawing it on a map with a sharpie. Anyone with a lick of sense would say, "well this guy is off his rocker". But he does this stuff and he's the president! You think that's acceptable for a president? If so, well......

We're just lucky he's not the king...he'd be chopping people's heads off. "Debra Messing said something bad about me, off with her head!"

Trump, in a tweet, and later in a FEMA meeting on Sept. 1, claimed Alabama was going to be impacted by Dorian. Theoretically, at the FEMA meeting, he was getting the latest update on Dorian's path. Indeed, according to the White House, even while he was golfing as the Bahamas were being pummeled, the President was receiving hourly updates on Dorian's path.

This begs a question. Was he paying attention?

A more important question is this. Does he ever listen to briefings? Or, does he already have an opinion about vital issues and he doesn't want to be bothered by facts?

The following events illustrate what I mean. On Sept. 1, Trump tweeted, "in addition to Florida - South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated. Looking like one of the largest hurricanes ever. Already category 5. BE CAREFUL! GOD BLESS EVERYONE!"

To avoid Alabamian panic the National Weather Service tweeted “Alabama will NOT see any impacts from #Dorian. We repeat, no impacts from Hurricane #Dorian will be felt across Alabama. The system will remain too far east.”

Imagine that, the NWS had to correct the President. There is a danger when the President issues a false weather forecast.

On Monday, Trump pushed back on skeptics by insisting that “under certain original scenarios, he was in fact correct that Alabama could have received some ‘hurt.’”

To prove his point, on Wednesday Trump showed off this map to television viewers.

This only made matters and serious questions were being asked about his mental health. There are two serious flaws with this map.

A black sharpie half circle was placed on the NWS map to include Alabama. The attempt was crude and infantile.

While everyone but Trump is looking at updated maps on Sept. 1, the NWS map the President is holding is dated August 28, a day representing the earliest stages of the hurricane.

    I knew it!.

According to a White House official, President Donald Trump was the one who used a black Sharpie marker to alter an official National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration map to include Alabama in Hurricane Dorian's trajectory during an Oval Office presentation earlier this week, The Washington Post reported.

That makes perfect sense. It is hard to understand how anyone in the White House would doctor a NWS map depicting a Cat 5 hurricane barreling into our coast that is to be viewed by the President. Under the current circumstances, only Trump would do that.

For the sixth day Captain Queeg, er, Trump, is defending his moronic forecast on Sunday, Sept. 1.

“The Fake News Media was fixated on the fact that I properly said, at the beginnings of Hurricane Dorian, that in addition to Florida & other states, Alabama may also be grazed or hit.” Trump said in a series of tweets. “They went Crazy, hoping against hope that I made a mistake (which I didn’t). Check out maps.”

Of course, as sure as the sun rises, Queeg, er, Trump is relying on lying, hoping no one will remember what he said. Trump didn't say that "at he beginnings of Hurricane Dorian" Alabama would be "grazed or hit."

He said, "In addition to Florida - South Carolina, North Carolina, Georgia, and Alabama, will most likely be hit (much) harder than anticipated."

"At the beginnings." Also, the President, in providing a weather forecast to the American people, saw nothing wrong with using four day old weather maps despite regular briefings on Dorian's path.

That is nothing short of incredulous and suggests there is something seriously wrong with our President. His doggedness in pursuing this issue is very strange.

I said earlier. "A more important question is this. Does he ever listen to briefings? Or, does he already have an opinion about vital issues and he doesn't want to be bothered by facts?"

This issue is about a hurricane. Other issues could involve threats to our economy, a growing threat of war in the Middle East, North Korea tests a nuclear device, Russia testing a long range cruise missile, China's expansion in the South China Sea, etc., etc. The reader gets my point.

Fair enough. In the minds of many many more... everyday. It doesn't change the fact that these perceptions go no further than the confines of others subjective reality.

It doesn't matter if what I believe what he does is normal; nor does it matter what you believe what he does is normal because neither you nor I are qualified to make such assessments.

He doesn't act normal, according to you, but apparently, "we are lucky" if he is choosing not to act irregularly, or else he would do something that he isn't allowed to do...

Pick a narrative and stick to it.
