If the boss was smart and knew how to hire good people, he wouldn't have to rehire to fill the same position every year.

You take the guy with the best resume and who shows you that his philosophy makes him a good fit for the job. As somebody who has put together a lot of successful teams, and serving under some amazing administrators and managers and team leaders, I can assure you that nobody is good enough to detect every flaw in every person--flaws that ultimately make them a poor choice. Even a choir director or a casting director auditions a lot of folks for that special solo or that critical part. And finds out they made the wrong choice later.

President Trump is remaking a permanent political class in Washington into a goverment of the people, by the people, for the people. And it is requiring some trial and error as none of us have really seen that in our lifetimes.

    Meanwhile:

The more demanding the job, the higher the turnover.

    Big Bolton fan?

Cumberland County (Fayetteville) is 35% black. Trump lost Cumberland Country in 2016 by 20,000 votes (16%).

    http://www.co.cumberland.nc.us/departments/election-group/elections/election/past-election-results

Last night the republican, Bishop, carried Cumberland County by a small margin.

Way to go, Donaldo Magnus and Mike Pence, making back more that 16% in Cumberland County and winning for the people again.

I actually like Bolton but I think he isn't the man to help President Trump extract ourselves from endless and futile wars and bring our people back home. We have been 18 years in Afghanistan as of next month and are accomplishing nothing there but expending a lot of treasure and precious blood year in and year out. Bolton is a hawk rejecting negotiations and always pushing for more military power and more military intervention into things. President Trump is a use the military only when absolutely necessary guy. I think President Trump is far likely the wiser in that.

The fact that Democrats along with Mitt Romney and the other RINOS in Congress are pitching a hissy fit over Bolton's ouster is enough reason for me to side with President Trump in that. :)

    Back to harsh reality.

Until I could stand it no longer I was listening to Trump's speech today on Fox News. Some call it a news conference because reporters are present and on rare occasions they actually get to ask a softball question.

Typically, a reporter allowed by Trump asks an innocuous question allowed by Trump, and Trump launches himself into a litany of lies, leaping from one subject to the next.

It is almost psychotic as he distorts one issue after another. Hence my inability to listen to him as he drones on.

Here is what is interesting. As is illustrated by this thread, from time to time I have been known to initiate threads critical of Trump. For the most part his fans are unable to defend Trump. Therein lies the interesting part. Even Trump's supporters are smart enough not to use statements made by Trump to defend Trump.

    As of
August 12, Trump has made over 12,000 lies. https://www.washingtonpost.com/poli...as-made-false-or-misleading-claims-over-days/

Americans can't trust a damn thing he says, and even his supporters know this.

Recent polls show that Trump's approval among Republicans is between 84% and 88%. https://www.nationalreview.com/2019/09/trump-republican-voter-support-approval-ratings/

This begs a question. Where the hell are they? On this thread I have been absolutely merciless in defaming the Republican hero. Not one Trump supporter has stepped forward to effectively defend their man. How strange is that?

Perhaps it is an educational issue. According to a recent ABC/WSJ poll, among white non-college men Trump's approval rating is 67% vs. Democrats, 22%. In all other categories involving men, women, and college Trump is behind the Democrats, especially among college educated women. In the latter category, Democrats lead Trump 63% to 30%. However, among non-college-educated white women, a group Trump carried by 27 points in 2016 exit polls, he is now trailing.

    https://beta.washingtonpost.com/pol...rt-poorly-educated-they-might-be-turning-him/

Trump is losing America’s suburbs, and his base of support is rural. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/meet-the-press/trump-losing-ground-america-s-suburbs-n1041296

Maybe that explains it. In any case, Trump's fans are giving me a free ride.

Now you can go back to your cartoons.

Your entire post is about how you feel about Donald Trump. We got it. Why not give him a rest and tell us how you feel about the Democrats? I'd really like to know.

Trump went to ground zero after 9/11.

Obama pushed for a mosque at ground zero after 9/11.
