getting a divorce is not child abuse... may be stressful for the child, just like many things in life, but it's a reach to call it child abuse

if it was Trump has had two of them....

true, at one time many Christians thought they had a God given right to own slaves and that it was immoral to help free them

You said staying together for a child could be abuse right? That's a reach too right?

Well the statistics on how single parent children turn out the same could be said for splitting up.

if one parent is abusive to the child and one doesn't get the child away from the abuse, it's child abuse... yes

child abuse can happen because of divorce where one parent uses the child to punish the other parent.. sure

but it's not the marriage or the divorce at issue, it's the person causing the abuse (or allowing the abuse)

example : Trump is not a child abuser cause he divorced twice.... he would have to abuse a child to be a child abuser

Ya and if the parents aren't abusive they just aren't feeling each other and they divorce that child now has a substantially lower chance in life. Unless actual violence occurs splitting up for behaviors seem to be selfish and border line child neglect

Statistically, a child in a single-parent household is far more likely to experience violence, commit suicide, continue a cycle of poverty, become drug dependent, commit a crime or perform below his peers in education.

According to the Single Parent Success Foundation, a national nonprofit that encourages educational opportunities for single parents:

    • 63 percent of suicides nationwide are individuals from single-parent families.

    • 75 percent of children in chemical dependency hospitals are from single-parent families.

    • More than half of all youths incarcerated in the U.S. lived in one-parent families as a child.

Throngs of people who think like you are a tyrant's wet dream.
Her understanding of human psychology left much to be desired, as she evidently never stopped to consider that human thought produces far more vice than virtue.

Most stats show that children of divorce are more likely to get in trouble with the law, have drug problems, get pregnant out of we'd lock and host of other.

That's what I've been saying lol

    For example:

"Research has shown that adolescents from single-parent households are more prone to delinquent behaviors, including drug and alcohol use (Amato and Keith, 1991; Amey and Albrecht, 1998; Barrett and Turner, 2006; Bjarnason et al., 2003a; Eitle, 2006; Hoffman, 2002; Selnow, 1987). Although some researchers maintain that household composition has relatively little predictive utility with regard to adolescent problem behavior (Gfroerer and de la Rosa, 1993; Ford-Gilboe, 2000; Robins and Przybeck, 1987), their observations conflict sharply with findings from many other studies, which indicate that children who live with only one parent are more prone to emotional distress, negative behavior, delinquency, and drug use (Booth and Amato, 2001; Cairney, Boyle, Offord, and Racine, 2003; Chilcoat and Anthony, 1996; Cummings, Keller, and Davies, 2005; Demo and Acock, 1988; Flewelling and Bauman, 1990; Florsheim, Tolan, and Gorman-Smith, 1998; Griffin, Botvin, Scheier, Diaz, and Miller, 2000; Murray, Kiryluk, and Swan, 1985; Newcomb and Bentler, 1988; Wells and Rankin, 1991; Zill, 1988). Relative to intact families, children of single-parent families generally are more likely to be resource deprived (Amato and Keith, 1991), especially in female-headed households (Amato, 2000), and receive less intense and less consistent monitoring, all of which have been associated with adolescent drug use (McLanahan and Sandefur, 1994)."

Most wind up with the woman Who still have problems finding a husband who is willing to take on rearing another man's kids. There are exceptions but you know what they say about exceptions

No because they often are too cool for school. They do it mostly in the neighborhoods of Chicago and Detroit where far more die than all the mass shootings put together.

What does that make the affair between George Washington and his slave Venus?

How about the affair between Jefferson and Sally Fields?

Almost half of all presidents have had affairs of one kind or another.

But only your BLOTUS has openly LIED over 12,000 times about anything and everything.

One of the extremist rightwing founders of the Tea Party's baseless OPINION has ZERO CREDIBILITY.

Furthermore there is no evidence that any such "study" was ever carried out using scientific metrics and subject to peer review.

Regurgitating rightwing DISINFORMATION is meaningless noise.

Technically the two parents can be any combination of adults raising the children. It can be a man and his mother or two lesbians or an aunt and uncle. There does not have to be any relationship between the two adults either. All that actually matters is that the children are loved unconditionally by both of the adults who are the parents raising the children.

That imaginary "foundation" of yours does not come up in any google searches.

    Why is that?

Want to bet that it is yet another extremist rightwing DISINFORMATION source?

    :roflol:

The first time you use a legitimate source you go and NEGATE it by CHERRYPICKING only what suits your AGENDA!

Here is the ABSTRACT from that source which shows DIFFERENT FINDINGS to your cherrypicked attempt.

IOW's this study was examining a single aspect of drug usage and did NOT make any determination as to whether or not children of Single Parent families are more PRONE towards ANY of the other allegations that you are making.

In fact this study DISMISSED all of those prior studies and did their own research focusing on a single aspect.

The study limited itself to ONLY the use of drugs and did NOT corroborate any of the allegations as far as emotional distress, negative behavior or delinquency are concerned.

Partial credit for using a legitimate source is acknowledged but negated by the failure to accurately represent the ACTUAL FINDINGS of the study.

Every source shows the same thing...... Kids from single parents do worse than those from 2 parents that's FACT!

That source showed 16 studies say that : (Booth and Amato, 2001; Cairney, Boyle, Offord, and Racine, 2003; Chilcoat and Anthony, 1996; Cummings, Keller, and Davies, 2005; Demo and Acock, 1988; Flewelling and Bauman, 1990; Florsheim, Tolan, and Gorman-Smith, 1998; Griffin, Botvin, Scheier, Diaz, and Miller, 2000; Murray, Kiryluk, and Swan, 1985; Newcomb and Bentler, 1988; Wells and Rankin, 1991; Zill, 1988).

PROVE that all 16 studies SPECIFICALLY supported your allegation.
