Here's a fun story. Until I was 25, I thought that eating bananas made you more susceptible to mosquito bites. Something about the potassium in your blood from the banana makes them more likely to bite you. Anyway, I said that to someone in a conversation and they said, that's right. And I said I'm pretty sure it is. And then we googled it. Turns out, it's not right at all. So did I say all mosquito science was wrong because long held belief turned out to be false? Nope! Only someone who thinks the US is 100% right all the time (spoiler alert, we aren't!) would say that. The UN backs like 98% of what we want in the world. That's because it was founded on...wait for it...Western, democratic, liberal (not like you use it) ideals! American ideals! Scientists have squandered their credibility for money and pop politics. Sad but true.

 

Uh...it's actually the hallmark of it. Oh I see, you are confusing the outcomes of their thinking with the thinking itself. True, inexperience people tend to make worse life choices, but that doesn't mean they didn't think independently to arrive at their conclusion. Parents aren't there to THINK for their children, they are there to guide their choices via teaching so they learn to make better and better ones.

Entering into a contract or voting is different than noticing a problem and finding a way to influence the decision to solve it. And again, if this girl was calling for the UN to provide guns to everyone at birth, you wouldn't be making this argument. No, she's only manipulated because she's saying something you disagree with.
