On the other hand It's quite possible that the democrats feel that the republicans have thrown the constitution out the window by their refusal to take action against trump for his violations of law and the US Constitution. If it is proven that trump this time violated the US Constitution, the congress votes to impeach and the Senate refuses to take action or vote to impeach, then the party which claims to cherish the constitution will become the party of hypocrites.

So you are admitting your outrage is just political posturing. Whatever.

If the democrats lose, then so be it. Now what if they win? What will you be saying then? The democrats will be saying that the american people came to their senses and voted trump out of office.

Clinton lied, and got what he deserved. Trump has done nothing, and has had to endure constant attacks for purely political reasons. The Democrats are out of control and need to be voted out.

Please remove Biden. It would make room for the non corporatist candidates.

I have asked this question about 10 times today and no one has been able to answer. Exactly what do you think Trump has done which is unconstitutional. If you cannot answer then you have no case and you are just talking nonsense.

I admit nothing of the kind, do not try to put words in my mouth, you are not that inteligent. You clearly do not have an argument which is worth debating so perhaps you should find a debate where you are more evenly matched.

Biden removed himself. Who do you think is non corporatist? There is no one at this level has not sold their souls to the globalist corporations. It is just to what level.

Yang, Bernie, Tulsi at least 10 times more non corporatist the rest of the candidates on the left if there's a scale. Of course everyone is slightly corporatist. We have to minimize it.

I don't think lying about your sex life comes close to justifying impeachment. Clinton remained a popular president through this because people liked the job he did even if he was a scummy husband. Impeachment was absolutely misused in this case.

Exactly and you shouldn't impeach presidents just because you don't like them just like dems are doing now.

In the hopes that he would appear transparent, Trump threw himself on the mercy of the court, so to speak, and released both a transcript of the July 25th phone call to President Zelensky of Ukraine and the whistleblower complaint, although the latter is still classified and cannot be released to the public. However, the transcript alone is proof the President violated the Constitution and federal law by asking a foreign power to intervene in our election on his behalf.

Keep in mind, Trump stopped a military aid package to Ukraine five days before this phone call, and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam Schiff told reporters, "There is no quid pro quo necessary to betray your country or your oath of office. Even though many read this as a quid pro quo. I'm not concerned whether it is a quid pro quo or not. Ukraine understood what this President wanted."

That said, while Trump didn't come out and say, "I'm bribing you," clearly there was quid pro quo.

Zelensky mentioned that Ukraine is ready to buy more Javelin missiles from the US. Trump responded by saying, "I would like you to do us a favor."

"The United States has been very very good to Ukraine. I wouldn't say that it's reciprocal necessarily because things are happening that are not good but the United States has been very, very good to Ukraine," Trump said.

Of course, Zelensky agreed, and told Trump the US is a "much bigger partner" to Ukraine than other European countries. Zelensky has agreed to everything Trump has said during this episode. The very last thing the Ukrainian president wants to do is anger Trump. Trump holds the key to the defense of his country from the ongoing Russian aggression.

Trump had no qualms about using that leverage.

Trump then proceeded to pressure Zelensky for cooperation with his political agenda, urging him to start corruption investigations while stressing the United States’ role in military assistance for Kiev.

Trump rambled on about the 2016 elections, something about a server called Crowdstrike, Robert Mueller, and the former ambassador from the United States, "the woman," Trump said. Finally, he got down to hard cases. "The other thing, There's a lot of talk about Biden's son, that Biden stopped the prosecution and a lot of people want to find out about that so whatever you can do with the Attorney General would be great. Biden went around bragging that he stopped the prosecution so if you can look into it... It sounds horrible to me," Trump said.

In addition, Trump urged Zelensky to work with Attorney General William P. Barr on potential corruption investigations connected to former Vice President Biden, his son, Hunter, and an unsubstantiated theory about stolen Democratic emails in 2016.

"Trump’s suggestion that American law enforcement be directly involved and in contact with Ukraine’s government marks the first evidence that the president personally sought to harness the power of the United States government to further a politically motivated investigation," the New York Times.

He already said why. And it was the NYTimes that brought what happened in Ukraine with Hunter and Biden up back in May I think it was. Biden Faces Conflict of Interest Questions That Are Being Promoted by Trump and Allies Yep, it was May 1st actually. People can thank the NYT's for this. In their attempt to put down Trump and his supporters they brought up something that probably should have remained in the closet if they didn't want Biden investigated. Note: I don't think Biden broke any laws myself. There is definitely a perception of a conflict of interest in that. Even if everything was kosher, the perception can often be worse than reality.

Serious question to anyone that is outraged that Trump asked Ukraine to investigate this: Is a President supposed to ignore the possibility of law breaking just because the person that possibly broke the law is a political rival?

True that. Our political environment has gotten so toxic that people put more energy into impeachment than bipartisan efforts to get things done.

You just said it was OK for Trump to sign legislation banning gun rights (bump stocks) because you're political stance is that he isn't as bad as the other guys ... meaning your morals are dictated by politics ... not your morals. Sorry you can't handle when that mirror is held up for you.

    Er, what?

Trump supporters have completely lost their marbles. Assuming they had any to begin with.

Burr shot Hamilton ... it's been bad for a long time. Lincoln, Civil War, Vietnam, Tree Huggers, Nixon ... it comes and goes.

It took them three years to begin proceedings against Trump. So, yes, I doubt they would immediately begin proceedings against Pence.

In the 2018 midterms, democrats promised to be bi-partisan and work with Trump on issues that affect everyday Americans. They lied and they are going to lose these swing districts in the house.

Um, yes it is. There is no such thing as an illegal impeachment.

Does that mean impeachment is always a good idea? No. But it’s always legal.
