If by chance Biden wins the presidency how long before he's impeached?

Do Democrats not realize the precedent they are setting here? They could've just waited until 2020 and voted Trump out the normal way but instead they've chosen to use every tool in Pandora's box to try and find wrong doing on the part of Trump. What do they think will happen? Do they think Republicans will let by gones be by gones? I know I know Democrats would never elect a criminal like Trump.......but realistically like Democrats have been saying recently Impeachment proceedings are political and not criminal.

Let's say hypothetically Joe Biden in fact does win 2020 how soon after will the investigations start on Ukraine and how soon before his own Impeachment investigations?

Biden and all of Congress should be impeached. There's no comparison between what Trump said with Ukraine and what Biden did. Trump said a very beneign thing in private. Biden did it with the knowledge of Obama and congress. He was proud of it and said it publicly. The conspiracy runs deep and all of Congress shoukd be impeached.

So you feel that should Biden win shortly after investigations will start?

If Biden did win, and the GOP got control of the House, there is no doubt that they would start congressional investigation and try to get rid of him. However, they would most likely be a bunch of non starters and go nowhere. My hope is that Biden loses the primaries and the Dems nominates someone else instead.

If Warren gets elected and somehow the GOP got the house at some point during her presidency, I am sure they would convene a series of Pocahontas hearings. If Bernie got elected there will be Commie Gate hearings and so on. But unless any theorhetical future President is a corrupt scumbag who staffs his regime with a bunch of crooks, leakers and whistleblowers like Trump, nothing will come of any of these hearings.

If Biden won, then it would most likely mean the Dems hold on to the House, and since Biden’s interactions with Ukraine are already known, I doubt any kind of further investigation would take place.

And if Trump can survive paying off porn stars and his very checkered past, then Warren has nothing to worry about with the long past Indian ancestry thing.

Biden is on his way out as the front runner. He is too moderate for the dems. They want a far left lefty.

They can't start investigations thru the senate?

As far as where they'd go I'd say more than the scandal itself the numbers of those trying to investigate would determine how far it went

    Great point.

Hard to imagine a scenario where Biden would win and the Dems would lose The House.

As to the OP--I would say ZERO Chance of Biden getting Impeached.

Here's a list of Senate investigations
    https://www.senate.gov/artandhistory/history/common/briefing/Senate_Investigations.htm

All of what you say to me is only determined by the numbers that the people who are investigating have

It's not that I'm adovacating for it but I see that if Dems pull this off Republicans will use it as a successful tactic and then their the retribution factor

They already used the tactic with the Benghazi Investigations. Four years of investigations that disappeared the day after Hillary lost. This ain't Congress' first rodeo.

Ok so I'll take it that you think the ends justify the means. Benghazi was a real thing was it over embellish probably but it was real. What's to stop Republicans from saying Joe worked with Ukraine in the 2020 election if he wins and they start investigations hinting at treason especially if that tactic is proven to work?

NO - I don't. I'm just pointing out the reality of what happens in Congress. This is hardly the first investigation of a sitting President. Watergate. Iran-Contra. Whitewater. WMD's. Benghazi. This is nothing new.

So do you figure if Republicans have the power they'll let all this go or will they follow suit and ratchet up investigations?

You mean like nepotism? Sure it's a problem. A company hired a politician's son because they thought it might get them influence. So how much more troubling is it that the head politician of the country has access to power which he uses to benefit his own company? Appoints his kids to political positions? I wouldn't vote for Biden because I think he is too old and set in old style politics. But if honestly think that nepotism is a problem, or that mixing politics and business is a problem, then why are supporting Trump?

It would be hilarious to see the VP be elected for two full terms ;) The left would have uncontrollable loose bowels, dehydrate and shrivel up to little raisin people ;)

When you elected trump you declared war on over half the nation and the Constitution. You put a revolting thug criminal in office. Now live with the consequences. And they will be with you for the rest of your life.

I guess that's one way to spin it another way was Democrats were just as helpful electing Trump by running Hillary Clinton. And like always nobody takes responsibility for their roles and shifts all the blame to their enemy

Regardless of the partisan pot shots. I'm highlighting the the obvious which is that Democrats are going to get this same level of treatment in the future. I guess that's fine but to pretend otherwise is very naive

I guess by problem it depends on what one means. Politically it is most definitely a problem and one that I'd say would be used if Republicans have the power to do so like in the scenario I posed.

As far as why support Trump when he also uses nepotism, policy and the way our system is set up. If you want conservative justices who will rule in a conservative manner what other choice do you have? People put too much stock in personality imo when push comes to shove people have no choice but to support the candidate who will best implement their policy's and judges candidates personality warts and all.

Given that Trump has been consistently unpopular with most Americans, his principle rivals lead him in the polls, his failures regarding healthcare, climate change, etc., and his disastrous "easy to win" trade war that is exacting its toll on American workers and consumers, an impeachment inquiry is not a sensible political strategy.

Fulfilling its constitutional responsibility in regard to Trump's pressuring a foreign government to produce dirt to discredit a political opponent and his minions' attempt at a cover up overrides pragmatic, partisan considerations.

The prospect of Trump braying that he has been vindicated when the GOP-controlled Senate fails to convict is not a prospect Democrats welcome, but it could not be avoided after what has been exposed.

Meanwhile, if Biden were elected, if any evidence of wrongdoing were ever found concerning his dealings with Ukraine, it should be investigated.

    ^^^^^ partisan talking points

"Fulfilling its constitutional responsibility in regard to Trump's pressuring a foreign government to produce dirt to discredit a political opponent and his minions' attempt at a cover up overrides pragmatic, partisan considerations."

^^^ I wonder if Republicans will say that exact same thing if Biden becomes president?

"Meanwhile, if Biden were elected, if any evidence of wrongdoing were ever found concerning his dealings with Ukraine, it should be investigated."

How would evidence be found before opening the investigation?
