    Boeing is our largest dollar value exporter, and because of their two crashes, they are having a very bad year.

    It is very hard for a country with a trade deficit to lose a trade war with a trading partner that is running a big surplus.

    Yeti Holdings (YETI, $30.70) – the sensational “it” name in high-end coolers and other outdoor products – says it has planned ahead for the impact of tariffs ever since September 2018.

    However, Cowen’s Kernan lumps YETI in with Carter’s and Dick’s, saying they all face “the most significant financial headwinds.” Yeti also faces the "greatest relative gross margin risk from tariffs,” he writes.

    Yeti’s performance from the second quarter was at least positive. Sales improved by 12.3%, beating both Cowen’s estimate and the consensus forecast of 9% year-over-year growth. Profits of 33 cents per share also beat both the average estimate (30 cents) and Cowen’s (32 cents). The company did suffer a 2-cent-per-share hit from tariffs, though it was partly offset by lower SG&A (selling, general and administrative expenses).

    Instead you've moved on to claiming that the harm to the US manufacturers is OK because Chinese manufacturers is hurting more?

    The USA has enormous current debt from Trumps giveaways to the nearly 2 trillion dollars, along with the regular increasing of long term debt.

    China has stockpiles of TRILLIONS of USA dollars!

    What is "barely noticeable" is China being "hurting" by China's ANY dent on its massive surplus profits and income.

    I ask for specific examples and you offer me soybeans and scrap copper

    Why are we exporting copper to china anyway?

    They are going to add value to that copper and export it back to America as a manufactured product
