Oh Boris gives a **** - he wants to be PM after the election with a huge majority - he wants to be the hero who gets us our independence. He is a politician, after all. As much as we are rooting for him now we shouldn't forget that fact.

Local governance and all that it entails = it once gave us a decent civil life no matter who was sitting in Westminster.

All planning in our own hands again and being able to build social housing again.

Not having to put all services and contracts out to tender in the whole of the EU, for instance - refuse collecting -, ship building - our water, our transport - the Post office and Royal Mail etc and ect infinitum

Protection for our own businesses - ie Cadburies.

84 thousand regs which disaude enterprise.

    Our fisheries.

    Defence.

    Control of our borders.

    You want more?

We already control our borders and defence.
No regulations are forced on us against the will of Parliament.
Our fisheries suffered over exploitation before we joined.
    Cadbury is still going strong.
The EU doesn't prevent us building social housing, the Tories do that.
Putting out to tender is a result of privatisation not EU membership.
    We still have local government.

The old labour heartlands in the North and Wales will never vote Conservative, certainly not for Boris. They will vote for the Brexit Party. Boris and Farage should make a pact for any chance of a Tory Gov.

We may not; with freedom of movement and the UN mandate on free movement for migrants which the EU abides by, control our borders and May signed all of our defences over to the EU --- try reading the Lisbon Treaty.

Oh and the Spanish and Dutch and Uncle Tom Cobley have helped that massively have they? --- I do remember the talks over managing our waters before the Cod Wars - our waters which are now depleted and not by us.

Under Krafts after a hostile takeover which no one could stop because of an EU Takeover Directive.

    Yes it does -

    EU Service Directives

Redcliffe Maud 's Local Gov Act 1973 was described by him as ''a holocaust of local governments''. It was drafted so that we could fit into the EU's template. Local affairs are now ruled over from Central Gov and from Brussels by regions, not councils which are a facade. Before the EU there was no institutional central gov presence within the municipalities - whose express function it was to service the needs of the people within their jurisdictions - the monies which were onced poured back into the project are now going into private pockets and the people left bereft -

You have no idea what you are talking about.

Sovereign countries don't need permission from shadow governments.

Translation: It's not democracy if you don't vote the way I want you to.

    The cod wars?
You think that the cod wars were over protecting our fisheries?
It's you that doesn't know what you're talking about.

A fourth Cod war would be looming now if we had any ships left.

Our fisheries were finished off by the EU's common fisheries policy - without a doubt.

How odd that that is the only aspect of my post that you mention

Superb news that the British Courts have ruled that Boris does not need to follow the traitorous Benn bill.

We are coming out with no deal on 31st October.

I don't know that they ruled that did they?

I thought that they said that it was because the Gov had written to say that they would comply with the law there was no reason for them to find on the hypothetical.

I am not so sure now - I was certain that we would Leave on the 31st but I begin to have some doubts --- and or that Boris's new treaty ( falsely called a deal) might not be as we wish. Still ... didn't we all doubt that we would not win the referendum vote until Sunderland?
