So by the constitution you mean **** trump makes up. There’s no requirement to vote for an inquiry and they have subpoena power without the inquiry anyway.

Oh yeah I read it.. He's never been able to hire great lawyers because he has a bad reputation for not paying his bills and not taking their advice.

And you want the president to decide what oversight he complies with? That sounds like a good plan to you?

Same, all the way to SCOTUS. How do you think, SCOTUS will rule?

    That’s right :)

The house does not conduct oversight, they’re out to impeach the President.

That doesn't explain why they are in recess if an impeachment inquiry is so serious per Nancy Pelosi. Are you saying that they can't get anything done? That they don't have other avenues to explore? That they can't do anything? Come on, try to spin a little harder will ya?

No, they already got a subpoena out today and they will start flying every day forward. Trump is running the old Dick Nixon Stall game. It won’t work any better for him than it did for Dick.

What part of this weak lawyers letter do you disagree with?

My bad... I meant to say, that’s when they begin to honor subpoenas.

I already explained, the Constitution is clear and unambiguous, no vote - libs can pound sand.

And the president should get to decide if they are allowed? That’s how you want it to work?

Trump told them to write a bully letter so they did.. No telling how they advised him. Trump has a long track record.. what makes you think he'd change his stripes at 73?

They are supposed to taking depositions this week. That doesn’t require the entire house.

So it’s not in the constitution. Yet trump insists it’s required?
Who makes the house rules? Is it the presidentv

    .
The DP bosses in the House are too shy to even have a vote for an inquiry.

It’s always been my experience that a subpoena isn’t an invitation that you can choose whether or not you will honor it. I am sure Trump’s flunkies will figure that our pretty soon too.

So no vote is required to investigate impeachment. So on what basis is trump refusing to comply?

Well, according to the Constitution the House is supposed to conduct any impeachment proceedings. Not just parts of it, but the WHOLE house.

    Article 1 Section 2 Paragraph 5
5: The House of Representatives shall chuse their Speaker and other Officers; and shall have the sole Power of Impeachment.

Notice that there is nothing in there about select parts of the House having the Power of Impeachment. It says "The House of Representatives". IE: The WHOLE House. Not just parts of it.

Furthermore the Judiciary Committee wasn't even around until after a quarter of a century that the Constitution was Signed. Which is further evidence that when that section was written it was not discussing committee's that weren't even around, but the Whole House.

And there is Precedent in how Impeachment is handled. Each time it took the whole house to vote. So, they themselves set the precedent on how impeachment is handled.

The one where he says the president must consent to be impeached?
    Yah that’s loopy.

He hasn’t been impeached yet. When he is, they will all vote.

Executive privilege and separation of powers. No official impeachment - rules applicable to routine congressional inquiries fully apply

What is “official impeachment” and why do you think the president gets to decide that?
