I can predict that he will lie under oath because he is incapable of telling the truth.

That's literally no different than the people assuming the Senate would not vote to convict because the Republicans have a Senate majority. It's all about assuming you have votes because your party controls that part of Congress.

And the president can also authorize it's alteration. There is no "version". It's a word-by-word script of a recorded phone conversation. There is a complete version and then, once edited, there is an incomplete version or multiple incomplete versions. We have no way of knowing what changes were made and no reason to trust a President with a non-existent relationship with truth.

    Proof of nothing.

Proof of nothing but pushing the same idea that many others across the world were suggesting about the removal of the Ukrainian prosecutor, people that have nothing to do with the Biden's.

Oh so now your idea of "common sense" equals evidence. It's amazing that this "common sense" of yours doesn't extend to the president. I'm sure that's by design.

They will once they have completed the preliminary inquiry to determine if there is sufficient justification to have a formal impeachment process in the House.

    Absolutely yes!

Do you expect Trump and the Republicans NOT to use the vote against Democrats in the upcoming elections campaign?

When Trump doubles down by refusing to provide the requested documents and witnesses, will you condemn Trump for the flip flop?

Here's a good article that details a host of reasons: https://www.cnn.com/2019/10/08/politics/nancy-pelosi-letter-impeachment/index.html

I would also add on the fact that Congress is currently on recess and talking to their constituents (a valuable factor for each member in deciding whether they should support impeachment) and there is little reason for Democratic leaders to call their members back early while the evidence of Trump obstructing the investigation just becomes even stronger.

In essence Pelosi can set the timetable and play her cards to give herself and the Dems the optimal outcome which must be frustrating for the GOP who are used to always having it all their own way.

Which will be good because every American citizen deserves the right to defend themselves. Democrats be all cocky preventing their opposition from being able to defend themselves. You’d think all these Democrat players that have put themselves front and center want to be able to tell their story under oath. I can’t wait.

Yes the GOP and even the President himself has called for the Dems to put up or shut up....take the vote.

Until then, we have better things to do

    Per your article:
Yeah, sounds legit to me to why they won't vote on it... Worried about being put into "a tough spot" is their worry... They should be worried, considering what they are putting this country through!

Impeachment is a political process and it carries a great deal of political risk.

But it is a better alternative than letting trump get away from a blatant abuse of power designed to help his chances of getting re-elected.

Then Vote to get this party started already! I'm TOTALLY cool with getting an investigation going! I just think the democrats aren't as excited about getting an investigation open on this as it might just shine a light on some dubious activities done in part by the DNC.

The rising support for impeachment restores a little of my faith in humanity.

I 100% support opening the impeachment inquiry. Let's get this party started with a vote, shall we.

I can't wait to watch when the subpoenas start flying and we start seeing the democrats eating their own.

You will cheer him on when he promises to do something and when he breaks that promise. Precisely.

That's for the overall support of impeachment and here is the tracker broken down by political affiliation:

So, of course you aren't the least bit concerned with the clearly documented and admitted wrong-doing by Trump. You'd rather focus on imaginary wrong-doings by Democrats.

Glad, though, that we can agree on impeachment. Trump's continued obstruction should make it obvious even to you that he is desperate to cover up even more wrong-doing and to avoid being investigated and prosecuted at all cost.

I sincerely doubt comments from hardcore Trump supporters claiming that they support the impeachment inquiry. It reeks of desperate defense in the face of an inevitable result.

Its like someone yelling at a meteor to go ahead and bring it on.

Like I've said in the past, not a fan of Trump but the nefarious and dubious actions of the left have obligated me into Trumps corner.

The candidate I somewhat like is Tulsi Gabberd but like I mentioned, the left are eating their own by claiming she's a "Russian stooge"!
