No, I've said many times on many threads that the economy today has little to do with Trump and didn't want to go over the whole thing again. I said tell me that a year from now because I've said many times on different threads that what he IS doing is causing it to fail.

What did Congress do for the credit?

The Economy is about CONFIDENCE. Spending is about Congress. Please know the difference.

The economy is not about confidence, it's about transactions. Lots of them. It's about money changing hands. Confidence may play a role, but there's no reason that a president has any connection to confidence in the first place because again, he has no real control over the economy.

Mathematically it could not be any different.

Are you suggesting everybody pay the same percent?

The stars and planets have fallen out alignment for Trump. The whistleblower (God bless him or her) provided the pin to pop Trump's bubble. Now a torrent of pus and nastiness is spilling out all over the lovely Oval Office carpet. It's like going through the woods on a cloudy day turning over logs. Every time a log is turned over more bugs crawl out. Congress is busy stomping out the bugs.

The real question is, will Trump even be around for the 2020 disaster. He's presented with some stark options: Stick around and get totally hammered in the election (loser), leave and head for Moscow (quitter), leave under the guise of bad health (old man), leave to save his business (here comes state prosecutors ).

No. I studied Economics at UCSD, and then got my MBA at Anderson, UCLA.

The #1 driver of any economy is confidence. <--- That's a period. You clearly don't know what you are babbling about.

To say a President, any President does not have impact on the confidence of businesses, manufacturers, and the populace when it comes to the economy is pure ignorance.

And some of them will. And most will forget that 90% of that growth came from Obama.

But MANY will vote based on all the turmoil in this administration. And remember, Pelosi and her crew WILL be spilling all kinds of dirt on him. Theres a LOT of bad light being shined on him right now, and the least of it is him pulling our troops from helping the Kurd, and thats only going to get worse.

And they shouldn't be. They should be screaming on high about how they saved it, and how Trump inherited a growing economy. They should print out every graph they can get their hands on that shows the trajectory of every indicator since 2009 and show how the economy was growing and that the trajectory of those indicators is pretty much the same. Trump gets credit for doing nothing and allowing the economy to grow based on "confidence", but nothing more

I think it may be too. We also see Trump numbers dwindling with all the turmoil and corruption coming to light.

And the top 26 Americans have as much wealth as the bottom 50% of the world combined. The bottom 90% of Americans hold only 23% of the wealth in this country, and that was in 2016 — before the tax cuts that primarily benefited the super rich. For a fair ratio the top 10% should pay 77%.

Of course they are, they are the only ones with money. Should we make the single mother that works three jobs and is barely able to feed her family pay more because the DeVos want an eighth yacht?

Since you have an MBA in economics can you explain why an economy that is so confident be experiencing inverted bond yields, a deficit not seen since a recession, and a president that is the sole cause of such a booming economy demanding negative fed rates?

Nice try. Actually I am conservative.
    I believe in balanced budgets
    I believe in NATO
I see Russia and China as our threat
I believe in The Constitution and our laws
I like our friends and allies, dislike authoritarian governments
I believe in America and its critical role in the world
I believe in giving people a leg up, not a handout
I believe in protecting the old, the infirm, and the children
I believe government should protect us from each other, not from ourselves.

    Now, what do you believe?

I am an independent and do not like Trump. I would have to spit and take a shower after voting for him, but it is likely at this point.

So, the Republicans were responsible for the great recovery from January 2011 to January of 2019?

A flat tax rate? Sure. Better than the punitive progressive tax system that we have now that punishes people who make more money.

Median household income at the highest level ever.

Just out: MEDIAN HOUSEHOLD INCOME IS AT THE HIGHEST POINT EVER, EVER, EVER! How about saying it this way, IN THE HISTORY OF OUR COUNTRY! Also, MORE PEOPLE WORKING TODAY IN THE USA THAN AT ANY TIME IN HISTORY! Tough numbers for the Radical Left Democrats to beat! Impeach the Pres.

I disagree that it has nothing to do with Trump but its still a losing argument.

People tend to blame the economy on the President in office. (Obama tried desperately to blame Bush, and it didn't work.

In other words Trump will get the credit regardless of if had anything to do with him.

Now deduct the national debt from everyone.
    Where are we at then?
