Plus, in addition to all that great news, eighty-two percent of American middle-class households received a tax cut and received an average tax cut of $1,260. In Ohio the average benefit in cut taxes was $1,476 to working people.

Sorry for chopping down your post, but this is the question I wanted to respond to.

I couldn't stand to watch the debate, but my wife knows I like Tulsi Gabbard and called me out of my den when she spoke. As expected, she was articulate and she delivers a message of unity and respect for all Americans, including those in the Republican party.

I know the Dems won't nominate her. But she is the candidate that could beat Trump if anyone can, in my opinion. And if Trump had to lose to a Democrat, she is the one I would hope he lost to.

    Interesting.

Why Gabbard, who I assume you are considering because of her service record, and not Pete Buttigieg? They both served.

First let me say that I am a conservative leaning independent. I lean moderate on certain issues and conservative on others. I plan to vote for Trump in 2020. Because I live in Oregon, I know my vote won't count, but that's how I plan to vote. That said, as for Tulsi ...

I respect her service record, of course. I believe she loves our country and our people. I think she is intelligent, articulate, and I like her independence. But most of all I like her message of reconciliation and unity of all Americans. She refrains from the canned vitriol. I think she speaks on issues because she is actually intelligent enough to actually know how she feels about them vs handing out canned, rehearsed talking points. I think she has good character. And I agree with her when she says America must confront our enemies, like Al Qaeda, while staying out of stupid foreign wars that are none of our business and which do not serve the purpose of our national security. I didn't watch much of the debate, and I doubt she would say it out loud, but I'll bet she agrees with Trump's decision to move our troops out of Syria, a decision I support as well. The two of them would disagree on policy issues on other matters, but they would mostly agree on this I would think.

So if Trump were to lose in 2020, I would want it to be to the best of the Democrats, and I think she is the best of them.

Buttigieg - I respect his service too. But something about him seems less genuine. He sets off my BS alarm.

I respect your answer, though I disagree.

How we exit the middle east is AS important as when we exit.

I will leave it at that for now with a recap of the two debating this very issue.

Any room for the blood and tears of the Kurds? I have no tears for Trump; but hopefully we can give him the retribution he’s earned.

    Stupid.

America is not a geographical location, it’s an ideology—get the best product at best price no matter who manufactures it.

I don’t exist to serve America, or God, or my fellow wretched country men—or the good ones for that matter—or society, or my neighbors.I’m a free man.

My existence has one and only one moral purpose—the pursuit of my happiness. There was a war fought for that right. I’m making sure they didn’t die in vain by spending my earned wealth to buy the best, no matter country of origin.

It would be prudent and wise for all to do likewise.

Funny no dems or CNN mentioned that during their lame debate in Ohio today.

    Well said.

I watched Klobuchar and Warren quarrel but Tulsi is over that crap.

As far as I know, all of the news could be fake. The one thing that I do tend to believe is the hate.
I don't believe that anyone is faking their hatred for President Trump, and all of the right people seem to hate him.

As long as President Trump stands between me and those who would have their best intentions for me imposed upon me by force of law, I will stand with President Trump.

And what do you call Tariffs? Voluntary contributions to the Great Leader’s plan to make America mercantile? All hail the Emperor, Julius Augusta Trump. He sees all. He hears all. He knows all. Wait! He’s a nothing know-it-alll. Insufferable.

The Dems plan: We are going to socialize you, whether you like it or not—it’s for your own good.

The Repub’s plan: We are going to nationalize you, whether you like it or not—its for the good of America.

My idea: Get the hell out of my wallet. Stay the hell out of my bedroom. Climb the fk off my back.

It’s my life to live not society’s to control, my neighbor’s to plunder, the States to rule, or God’s to own. Mine. No one else’s.

So you would inflict your position on others, who actually consider the support of their fellow countrymen/women over the benefits of saving a couple of bucks....

That is not 'stupid', though you are welcome to your opinion. It just clarifies your limited prospective on the country you apparently exist in.

Honestly, how anybody can support Biden, Warren or Sanders is a mystery to me. No doubt TDS is in play... can be no other excuse for selling America down the river by voting for one of these LOSERS.

Understand the 'squad' is endorsing Sanders. More proof of their delusion.

The thing is, we have to be careful about supporting her because that will only cause them to redouble their efforts to get rid of her. Right now she is the one bright spot in the whole pack of jackals and shows them up for the meanspirited nutcases most of them are better than any of us could.

This morning President Trump's job approval ratings keep edging up.
