He is a certified genius compared to the ridiculous blunders Obama made with prematurely pulling out of Iraq and causing the rise of isis, arab spring, lines in the sand with syria, horrible trade deals with everyone, the iran nuclear deal, Benghazi, and everything else he ****ed up. This is peanuts compared to those.

Well seems to everyone else, allowing ISIS prisoners to go free is the far greater disaster.

Abandoning allies on a whim is never a good look.

And this is why you lost the election. You can't see how garbage your candidates are.

We lost the EC. We won the election.

More people voted against Trump than voted for him. He is NOT the voice of the people, but that's the way you elitist Republicans like it and always have. You all ought to go over to Saudi Arabia where you can be ruled over by a King, which is what you really want.

How long after we "left" Iraq did ISIS take Mosul?

How long after Trump decided to abandon his allies on a whim did the Kurds experience slaughter in the thousands by the hands of Turkish forces?

    Yeah, right.

If you don't like the U.S. election system, strive to change it. But as of now, those are the rules. ;)

Lol, it is the same system that has been used for over 200 years, yet now that crybaby liberals lost it is "elitist". boo hoo. You want to silence huge portions of the country, and have everything dictated to us from the overcrowded liberal blue dots on the map. Thats not how it works, and never has. Get over it.

How many of our Soldiers lost their lives in Syria? Not nearly as many as in Iraq. When barrack retreated out of Iraq, he threw away all the progress our soldiers had fought and died for over the years. That was a million times worse than pulling out of Syria.

Could I ask you to evaluate the decision here in Syria by itself and going forward? For example, do you see any impact from this decision on the likelihood of other allies around the world and how they might view the willingness to America under Trump to stand by them?

There are a whole host of differences between this decision and the Iraq withdrawal, not the least of which is the number of troops in harms way in each theatre, the fact that our allies in Iraq wanted us gone, and that the timeline of the decision was known for years (after being previously negotiated by the prior administration) and in this point, our allies wanted us to remain and the timeline of the decision was made on a whim.

Nope, it will not affect our allies at all. Most of our allies have let us down since WW2 repeatedly, leaving us to do most of the work in hotspots around the world, while they put in token amounts of effort or less. Our allies will be fine. They only help us when it is good for them anyway. So, if it is good for them to help us in the future, they will. If not, we dont need them anyway.

The top leadership wanted us gone. But they were and are mostly incompetent morons, as politicians tend to be. The Iraqis in the military that we were working with did not feel confident at all about us leaving. Timelines for troop withdrawal as well as SOFA agreements had been negotiated and renegotiated constantly the whole time we were there. The negotiating stopped when Obama came into power. Obama just chose not to renegotiate because it gave him an excuse to retreat.

Our "allies", the kurds, were not the same kurds that we fought with in Iraq. These are more the shifty, terrorist types of Kurds that we really shouldn't be dealing with. We should have been fighting Syria directly after the "red lines" were crossed, not training and arming extremist factions. The ISIS prisoners should have been executed long ago, or should not have been taken prisoner to begin with.

We have no reason to be involved in the middle east anymore, beyond keeping the Persian gulf shipping lanes open. Let Iran and KSA, Russia and Turkey duke it out.

The same people that are supporting Trump on this, raised hell when Obama swapped prisoners.

The ONLY, and I do mean ONLY way to win the presidential election is via electoral vote. The only. I repeat again: the only way to win the presidential election is via electoral vote. It’s all that counts. So y’all didn’t win anything. We all lost.

    Analogy time:

Electoral votes are like runs in baseball. You need the most runs to win the game. “Popular votes” are the hits in the game. Just because you get more hits doesn’t mean you win the game. Gotta turn those hits into runs and out score your opponent, not out hit them.

Probably Greece and Turkey would eat each other :) :) NATO is a balance for these two countries and keeps peace.

Why do you answering my question by asking question ? :) We are 4th strongest power of NATO. NATO can not give up Turkey. :)
