And they use metric math, but as a bicycle fabricator / mechanic I'm on board!

I took this picture in 2016 from my boat of a couple of fishermen. This is Brownlee Reservoir, an impoundment of the Snake River. The land on the right is Oregon. The land on the left is Idaho.

Wow! I like how the water, sky, and mountains frame the fishermen. I'd like to go there.

A friend of mine was scouting for elk prior to the opening of hunting season in the Wallowa Wilderness area of northeastern Oregon. He came across a freshly killed adult cow elk. He put a game camera up on a tree pointed at the cow and came back the following day. This picture was on it.

Now if you know how large an adult cow elk is (around 500 lbs), then you can appreciate the massive size of the beast overlooking it. That is a male cougar that would easily tip the scales at 200 lbs, most likely quite a bit more.

Thank you! I was just lucky to get it just like that off my iphone, with the sunrays coming through. It was a beautiful day out there.

Yes it was. Mine are from my iphone also. The new one takes better pictures and I've been playing with it. If you get more, please bring them here. I love them.

    EDIT
That's an awesome picture of that cat.

Wow! Those broad landscapes are totally amazing. I'm heading out to Yuma over Christmas, so I'll have to get a few pics from that area.

I have always found this picture to be moving and thought provoking. It was taken by my son while he was Iraq in 2007. He was a member of a very tough, battle hardened Marine unit. But while on a patrol an Iraqi man approached them with his little daughter, seeking help. She had fallen into their family's cooking fire and burned her face. This was their squad medic rendering first aid to the little girl. Whenever I look at this picture I feel a little tinge of pride in these very young men in a dangerous and difficult environment.

    I cheated

They are a bronze diorama that forms part of the display at the “Age of Dinosaurs” at Winton. It represents the “stampede” footprints that are found at Lark Quarry near the age of Dinosaurs. The display is set on a natural outcrop on the side of a Mesa

    Thank you! :)

The landscape is great. The horizon looks as flat as the ocean.
