yeah but blacks make up only 12.7% of the USA while whites make up 73%.

so if blacks do as much drugs as whites, that means the average black person does a SHITLOAD more drugs than the average white person.

plus blacks are much more concentrated in urban areas, and there drug use is much more connected to gang violence & crime than whites.

    hence the higher arrest rates.

BS. Psychos become cops just like they become nurses and priests and teachers, so they can gain access to their pool of potential victims. A typical example = https://www.usatoday.com/story/news...ns-affairs-deaths-medical-murders/3936045002/

Psycho killer cops are at an advantage because cop lovers will defend them regardless of who they murder or under what circumstances. They will give them a paid vacation, time to clean their social media accounts and hide other evidence, hide their identities and pay their bail and lawyer fees and lie for them under oath in a court of law. Laws need to be written that eliminate the special treatment killer cops get.

Regarding the Rodney King case, the thug who developed the training program after that taught the psychos to kill the person and then claim that they feared for their lives. So they have gotten away with that line of BS ever since. If cops are afraid for their lives every time they interact with people they need to go pick apples.

I just explained how your statistics are based on the fact that white people simply arrest more black people because it's institutionalized racism.

You can't blame racism for blacks committing murders and assaults and robberies.

Those crimes are far, far more prevalent in black neighborhoods.

Thoss crimes are not investigated at the discretion of the police officers.

Thus, police hang out in high crime areas. It's called statistics, and logic.

Officers spend most of their time where crimes are likely to occur. Fact is, there isnt a whole lot of gang violence in the suburbs.

It's a pretty simple concept, really.

If blacks in the cities were simply using drugs in their own homes, they wouldnt be arrested; but they're not. They're murdering each other by the thousands.

Its not like murders happen in nice neighborhoods and officers just choose not to investigate.

Violent crime is violent crime, and blacks commit those acts 10x at the rate other races do.

And both do an equal amount of drugs to where white people do even slightly more... % wise.

That doesn't mean they are more criminal.

It's called racial profiling. As I noted. White people got more illegal things % in their cars, while black people are stopped more often. White people do as much of even often drugs, black people are predominantly more arrested over it.

79% of people who OD are white, 10% non white.
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC6384031/

White people systematically use more drugs.
    https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2377408/

60 to 80% of people in jail for drug use... are black
    http://www.drugpolicy.org/issues/race-and-drug-war

So it's obvious... the justice department hunts predominantly the black community and never minds crime done by white people. It's a fact that this happens. Your claim that black people are mostly arrested does not debunk this.

So sad. Please don't say it had to do with race. Officer was wrong. And no matter what he says or does it will never help the family. Their grief will last a lifetime. I know because I recently lost my 31 year old son. They should be outraged and beyond angry towards the Officer.

Training of all Police Officers needs to be improved and new Officers should worked with an experienced Officer.

The City should be responsible also.

Why not? Read post 183 ... racism is institutionalized in the US against black people.

It's this... please don't say it had to do with race.... that racism still prevails in the US justice department.
The statistics prove it is present, massively.

What on EARTH are you talking about? Everyone is a psycho except you? Frankly it seems the other way around. People defend heroic police officers who make honest mistakes in the heat of the moment because they have empathy you obviously lack.

This guy made an honest mistake in extremely trying circumstances, he had no malice, no premeditation, the homeowner pulled a gun on him and he was in uniform and gave a warning. He is not a murderer although he may be guilty of manslaughter. But as a police officer he must be given special status, we expect no one else to do the things police officers do so they must be held to a different standard and allowed the benefit of the doubt. And they are in genuine fear, we expect them to actively confront the criminal element everyone else crosses the street to avoid.

Racism isn't institutionalised in the US against black people, they just want to think that rather than confront the criminality in their own society. There is no evidence whatsoever of any racism in the US police against African-Americans, those days are long gone. If only the cops in the Rodney King case had BWV there wouldn't have been a problem because people could have seen why he deserved it. African American crack dealers are targeted by law enforcement because unlike Charlie Sheen and co they tend to go around shooting one another which he doesn't. Those idiots who are ODing are really hurting no one but themselves.

At this point, I think you just may be dumb.

You cannot ignore a murder, or rape, or burglary, or assault. Those crimes aren't subjective. Those crimes take place predominantly in a small area, typically around black neighborhoods. Cops arent out hunting those people, they show themselves with the crimes they commit.

So, as a result, there is a higher police presence in black neighborhoods because.... THAT IS WHERE THE CRIME IS. Not shockingly, where there are more police, there are more people caught using drugs.

Therefore, police typically spend their time patrolling areas where people are raped or assaulted or murdered and not where Timmy the high school senior buys his dime bag from.

You're sitting here arguing that police need to go after people ODing on pills but completely ignore violent crime just because they're white.

I'm not sure what about this is so confusing to you.

Unless you really do think that police should go hunting heroin users and spend less time investigating murders and armed robberies, in which case, you're waaaaaay out there.

If you were a police officer, do you think youd find more crime in the suburbs or the ghetto? If you're answer is anything but the ghetto, you're either a liar or you're simply blind to the statistics.

Good luck. Nobody wants to be a police officer these days. Departments across the country cant hire anyone because people know they have to tiptoe around every incident for fear of losing their job or being jailed.

If you're a white officer and you have a black chick resisting arrest, what do you do? Sweet talk her and get nowhere, or body her into the pavement? What you SHOULD do is the latter, but the reality is, if someone records only the 5 seconds before you slam her, you're probably going to be fired and/or jailed regardless of what happened before that.

Who wants to deal with that bullshit? Certainly not me. I was an MP in the Marine corps and planned on being a cop after, but after seeing the way they're treated... no thanks. Everyone and their mother is out to be a victim and one misinterpreted move, your life is over.

And for a measly 45k a year? No thanks.

Even an idiot lawyer should be able to get a minimum of $20 million from the city just by walking into the room. If he works it could go to $50 million.

Not sure if what you say has anything to do with how this encounter went down. True it is a difficult job that doesn't pay enough. I happen to think Police Departments should require not only formal Education but also experience in the form of Military training and ride along training with experienced officers. And you are right that officers will back off of confrontations in fear of doing something wrong. I love my town. We rarely have issues with the Police Department. But I do have issues with our Judicial system.

Good post. You’ve nailed the reason this will get worse, not better. It’s just like politics. No good person wants the job anymore or can survive it long if they try.

They tried that. They thought if they required a college degree, their officers would be "smarter" or something.

Turns out, college kids cant handle the stress of real police work. College kids have never had to scrape a body off the street or seen what a meth house looks like or seen what actual domestic violence looks like so... they stopped the requirement.

The argument against the military is that they're not soft enough. They're lacking compassion. I'll be the first to admit that I pulled triggers overseas and I dont feel an ounce of remorse for it. Policial leaders argue you cant have someone like me as an officer because I lack empathy, whatever that means.

Furthermore, I was trained to deal with insurgents and militias, not teenagers. It's a completely different mindset and different training involved. People want officers to be big cuddly teddy bears and that's just not me.

Where is your proof this was racially motivated? You still haven't cited anything relevant.

    College and military experience?

    1. Military vs. Civilian law enforcement are very different. Some vets make great cops, others decide to leave the academy week one. Most Americans want to de-militarize the police force so that's another topic
    2. The Marine said it earlier and I'll agree. Requiring a 22 year old kid who just spent 4 years bonging beers and throwing them at a murder scene is not the right answer. If that's what they want, sure. Requiring that level of education will result in a much higher demand for LEO's. You need tough men and women to do that job. Not coddled ones.

Combat vets should never, ever, be hired as cops for any police department in America. They are too prone to be whacks and not be able to handle stressful conditions on a continuous basis. You might as well walk around with a viper around your neck.

I just sourced who do the crime. And it's white people who predominantly do drug related crimes, while black people are being arrested way more than such a %. And here you are starting with a personal attack as if it's fake. It aint buddy. This proves that there aint a couple of bad apples in the police force. The police force is simply predominantly racist. You don't get figures that off by just chance,... again and again. And that's the point.

And to just simply rule out this white cop isn't racist,.... statistically he fits the picture that he is.

It lies in statistics that cops in general are racist. (read post 183) Look what this thug did. He fits the picture perfectly.

What were the officers told before they arrived? Open door? All we know is that the officer shot the homeowner and that she had a gun according to her 8 year old nephew, who was a witness. I'm hearing that he started giving commands and shot her when he saw the gun. This could be self defense, even though the homeowner did nothing illegal.

    My biggest questions are:
What was the call? What were the cops told to respond to. Was it a welfare check, an open door, or some other call?

Were procedures followed? Did he not follow procedures and that led to the armed standoff? It's tragic that an innocent woman lost her life, but this is not necessarily murder. If he followed procedures, then the fault is on the city of Fort Worth. I guess we will see.
