They'll also need to increase infrastructure.

Imagine being out in no where land in the middle of Nevada and running out of juice in the battery. If they just included a small gasoline powered generator so you could charge the battery in such circumstances, they would make the cars more viable.

What you think is quiet unimportant.
That's what Toyota expects and plans, by the way same for Nissan.

But you got competition... so Americans are not getting some friendly deal when tanking gas. That's your point, and it's not true.

You're joking right? It would take about 4 days to charge an empty tesla from a standard 110v outlet depending on the model. You could walk the rest of the way faster.

If you are stupid enough to run your EV out of juice in the middle of no were, you deserve it and the problems that come with it.
Same for the folks driving a IC.
It takes several hours on a 120 outlet to get you going again, if you were stupid enough, to getting close or running out of juice. 20 hours on 120 gets you 125 miles. As if there are not any 220 around.
Years ago I bought the first of GMC Turbo Diesel Pick Ups, 3500. To make it work for my business, I had to install a 200 Gallon tank. There was no gas stations with diesel were I worked. From home town and back, I needed enough Diesel to cover 1200 miles, driving very conservative.
5 Years later I was able to gas up half way. Today, no problem.
We had at that time 2 gas stations with Diesel.
Diesel P U would never catch on I was told, Idiot.
Oh well, water well, gas well, oil well.

Last I was told this is a discussion forum. I might be wrong.

You quoted me and I considered it worth a respond. Does that offend you ?

Internally, no problem with that. But if the international market wants to cut the price fine with me we'll buy their reserves.

Do you have a point in here somewhere?

Maybe you should do some research and look what car manufactures out side of the US are doing and planning and selling.
The US is not the world and the Big Three in a way represent the US, maybe harsh, but once upon a time.
Toyota will continue the fuel cell project, but it is still behind a few years. To bridge that, it will do the battery car.
I think the fuel cell has its merits, but in the long run it will be batteries, not Lipo, but carbon graphs, maybe.
Lipos are just a transition state

Incoming into the house is 240. Than you break it up. Appliance mostly run on 240, like a stove. Or if you have a shop, welders run on 240, but your drills, small power tools are on 120.
    Every house has 240 available.
What I always think is wild. Most of their plugs have 3 prongs. 1 hot and 2 neutral. One is called ground and one is called neutral, green and white wire, black is hot.
White and green are hooked up to the same grounding terminal, at the breaker box. What a waste of copper. One ground should be good enough.
You only need a 3 wire if you run 240 single face, 2 hot and a ground.
You talk about a waste in resources and a ancient system.

Just posted a thread about how Aus is ramping up production at the worlds biggest lithium mine

The link I posted to the new Kona looks fantastic. Asia is the main market that will gobble up electric cars
