    Highest estimate is just 500,000, and that's counting "associated" deaths, not caused by violence. More likely number is closer to 115,000, with only about 37% of those being attributable to coalition forces.

    Also worth noting that gun ownership in Iraq was heavily restricted, with only people of importance in the government allowed to get a license for one. There were only about 20 civilian guns per 100 people in Iraq, hardly enough to mount a significant resistance, and then most Iraqis weren't all that fond of their dictator-in-chief to want to fight for him, anyway. The Kurds, who came under genocidal attacks from Dear Leader, were completely restricted from owning guns.

    Terrible makes me think why so few “righties” can do math

    Do you HAVE over 600,000 families per year wanting to adopt?

    In fairness there are many who do want to adopt but can't because of US law so they adopt foreign babies/children instead. If you do that then there is no risk of a sperm donor, er, father that was no where to be seen during the pregnancy nor the diaper changes show up at the door wanting "his" child who doesn't know him from Adam.

    You really need to use sock puppets to explain this. Some can't get past other people having sex is bad and PP is enabling them.
    They could also claim the closing of PP centers contributes to fewer unplanned pregnancies because more women of child bearing age will die or become sterile from illnesses that if they had been caught earlier in a PP screening could have been treated.

    "Research" does not say the climate is changing, the models say that. But as we have seen historically, not a single climate model has proven to be even close to correct. Conservatives do not agree on a model for the future because no models can predict randomness, which is what the climate is, random.

    I honestly don't know why people don't understand the concept of a lagging indicator, but it seems to be a major failing among humanity, even among scientists. The ice core evidence from Antarctica showed that CO2 levels were a lagging indicator, by 800 years. That is, the temperature either went up or went down and CO2 levels went up or down as a consequence, 800 years afterwards. People bend over backwards trying to show that this shows that CO2 causes global warming when the plain evidence is that global warming causes CO2 increases. Whatever it is that causes global warming, CO2 ain't it. And all the models that are predicting global warming (that aren't coming true, by the way) are based on this principle, that CO2 causes global warming. Except the evidence says it doesn't.

    You misunderstand the left.

    White = bad
    Black = good
    Brown = not as good as black but better than white; will be accused of being white if it serves the narrative
    Asian = problematic; Indians & Filipinos can stand in as brown, southeast Asians (Chinese, Japanese, Koreans) must be oppressed because they do better than black & brown people

    So, colonization by white people = bad; colonization of white countries by black & brown people = good; the only consistency you can expect from the left is that white people are bad.

    In 1804, after defeating the French (who hasn't?), the Haitians killed off all the remaining French people on the island, men, women, and children. But to listen to the left, you'd think blacks have never committed genocide.

    Greta Thunberg’s sailing trip will require six flights

    "It is a paradox to which Greta Thunberg, very critical of the ecological consequences of flying, should be happy to respond. The young Swedish activist, who is due to attend a climate summit in New York on September 23, has chosen to go there by crossing the Atlantic Ocean aboard a carbon sailboat deemed very ecological – although sponsored by brands which are a little less eco-friendly.

    The organisation of the journey at sea will require a total of six transatlantic flights, reported the German newspaper Die Tageszeitung. If Greta Thunberg had flown with her only father, the environmental cost would have been much lower.

    And for good reason: according to the newspaper, five employees, who have been tasked with bringing the boat back to Europe, will have to fly to the other side of the Atlantic.

    The German skipper accompanying Greta Thunberg, Boris Herrmann, will also return by air to the Old Continent. “Of course, they fly there, there is no choice,” said Andreas Kling, spokesman for the skipper."
