A lie? There is only one politician of a certain color who has reason to believe outlandish satire would be mistaken for the truth by his Following, and Schiff isn't orange.

I understand is words quite nicely, they just don't match reality...hence they are lies...and meet only to misinform the low informed voters...which is Shifty's bread and butter

Not possible without action from the house. The House acts by voting. Democrats are not the House. Without a vote there is no process to get the court to act. No formal procedure by the Judiciary Committee has been acted upon. Right now it is just a bunch of other committees sending out strongly worded letters without any punishment provisions.

Parody: "an imitation of the style of a particular writer, artist, or gene with deliberate exageeration for comic affect.

----so why was Shifty trying to be funny?

lie- "to make an untrue statement with intent to deceive"

    - that sounds more like what Shifty did

That is because the death row inmate is an inmate. His life liberty and property are being compromised by govt which is the Constitutional standard for due process. Trust me, before he was detained, and formally charged with a crime he was not afforded due process as the cops got DNA samples at the crime scene and interviewed witnesses.

Here's your question. Why should trump expect more due process to keep his day job, his free room and board, his benefit package, his butlers, secretaries, and presidential retirement, Airforce One and access to Camp David and the White House Chef, earlier on in this process than that man being investigated for murder with a possible date with eternity as his end result? Its ludicrous from a constitutional and moral perspective.

To the Op if anyone doubts the veracity of Schiff's assertions on whether republicans have access to the closed door meetings, whether they get to make opening statements and cross examine each witness, all we have to do is ask the republicans sitting on the committee to verify. This is not hard, guys, but you have to want to hear and publish the answers you get.

    WRONG, as always!

Those definitions stipulate that a parody is NOT a lie!

Granted there is no further need for you to prove that you have no understanding of the meaning of any of these terms but you appear to be persisting for some unfathomable reason.

“I have received information from multiple U.S. Government officials that the President of the United States is using the power of his office to solicit interference from a foreign country in the 2020 U.S. election. … The President’ s personal lawyer, Mr. Rudolph Giuliani, is a central figure in this effort.

Attorney General Barr appears to be involved as well. I am also concerned that these actions pose risks to U.S. national security and undermine the U.S. Government’s efforts to deter and counter foreign interference in U.S. elections.

Senior White House officials had intervened to ‘lock down’ all records of the phone call, especially the official word-for-word transcript of the call… the transcript was loaded into a separate electronic system… used to store and handle classified information of an especially sensitive nature.

One White House official described this act as an abuse of this electronic system because the call did not contain anything remotely sensitive from a national security perspective.

What have House Repubs chosen to focus their attention on in order to deflect attention away from President Sharpie? Schiff's obvious parody.

Well his lie...his lie about the transcript of the phone call in question. The fact he has to lie about it, to make it fit the WB complaint that he helped draft....well that's quite telling....moreover his continued secret hearings, and denial of access to material from certain members.

If he wants to create a parody, he should find sponsors and put varity show on television.

You don'tt believe those republicans were sitting in the room, giving their statements alongside Dems and questioning those witnesses while the committee was in session? These are incredibly easy and obvious facts. We can use republican members of the committee as sources here to find out. I am fully prepared to believe them. I will put up his credibility against that of anyone of any party who denies these statements. We can find out who lying in that letter..

Without digging into details, it appears to me that Adam Schiff is the epitomy of the abusers of their position and their oath of office. This isn't a pissing match, it's supposed to be mature people taking care of the nation's business honestly. It's a pitiful situation- and Schiff is far from alone. They say time heals all wounds, and wounds all heels. I wonder if it wounds weasels. That's how I see Schiff.

Mature people are not stupid enough to hint that republican congressmen are not able to attend their committee meetings, make statements or examine witnesses unless are pretty damn sure their story will last a modicum of scrutiny. Schiff is the epitomy of truth telling with respect to how those meetings are being held and run.
