if you are going to argue that just incase of the winds you can't have solar panels, you might as well not build a house as well.

you can give 5000 sources if they're wrong they're still wrong.

I didn't say that. Of course there's interest in electric cars there has been for over a century. It just doesn't compared to the magnitude of interest in gasoline powered cars. That's an absolute fact that no source can deny. if you do have a source that says otherwise it is wrong.
I'm sorry to break it to you BMW is not high quality no German car is. the way over engineered and they have a severe reliability problem. If you doubt this price some that are 10 years old I'm willing to bet you'll get them for a song because that's when they're terrible.

I didn't say there was more maintenance on them they're just more disposable. they're more disposable because there is less maintenance on them. think about your blender when it burns up do you take it to a blender repair shop or do you just throw it away and buy another one!
I have practical knowledge I don't need to look things up. You're trying to sell me a bridge and I'm not buying.

You're damn right I'm biased I'm biased for the more efficient better product which is the gasoline powered car it has been for over a century.

Are you blind? My source says the degradation is little. Not zero. LITTLE! The point behind is that the maintenance of an electric car is high. And I sourced it's not the case.

I do deny it. The car industry is rapidly dumping the combustion engine. You're mind is stuck in a world of 15 years ago when Tesla wasn't there or a some weird novelty if you will. There is absolutely nothing to deny about this. None of your words change anything about what the car industry is doing... according to them... RIGHT NOW! lol

    lol

I already sourced that maintenance on electric cars is far lower. You proved nothing. Absolutely nothing.

I aint buying your "alleged expertise" you're a freaking anonymous poster on an iffy forum.
You need to do better than this to have some argument going.

Road trains are far less efficient then rail trains.

no they're not, the vast majority of cars manufactured today are internal combustion engines. Electric cars may represent 1 to 3% of the market.
sorry to break this to you Tesla is a novelty car.
well let's look at the car industry, how many electric cars do they make? How much is a market does the Tesla represent. I would put $1,000 on the reality that it's statistically negligible.

and for like the 9 millionth time I'm not arguing that there's more maintenance on them and I never did. the ability to maintenance and internal combustion engine adds to its longevity. Electronics are disposable

you don't have to take my word for it. All you have to do is open your eyes and look. I just drove 36 miles from my home to my place of work I didn't pass a single electric car on the road. I live in a huge City. it's about once or twice a week I'll pass a Tesla or Nissan leaf.

But the 20 or 30,000 car as I drove by on the way here in the parking lot all the cars in the motor pool not a single electric one.

You don't have to take my word for it my source is reality

I have sourced that it is so. And who cares about Tesla. I sourced that it's not just them. BWM is predicting half their profit is going to come from electric cars in the near future. And it aint just BWM, I sourced that too. That line aint going down,... it's going up! lol

You either now source that the cost of maintenance of electronic cars is higher or I am just going to label your ranting as nonsense from an anonymous poster on some iffy forum.

I have been rather clear that I am not. You go prove your point.

then there is no point in arguing if you already know what is correct and it's your contention that I'm rejecting what is correct then you probably are finished posting here in response to me.
I don't believe in psychic predictions especially when they're ridiculous.

I never made the claim that maintenance costs are higher. This is a straw man.

I'm perfectly content to let ignorant people believe ignorant things.

It is people like you that keep mechanics in the Auto industry alive.

We got us some of them too! But bottom line there is simply too sparse a population to make it viable

I'm not saying that a real system is right or even feasible for Australia. All I'm saying is the force used to turn a pneumatic tire on a hard surface is much greater than the force used to turn a steel wheel on a steel surface.

I saw a publicity stunt where an electric force pulled 1.25 million pounds of train cars along a flat surface. That's not that impressive on a feat a minivan can do that.

You claim to know best as some anonymous poster on an iffy forum, thinking such an attitude will convince somebody who is proving you wrong. The position you're taking.... lol

Than end this endless rants about... but the battery.... in attempt to find some hole in there.

When you look in the mirror.

I have no influence on a car maker like Volkswagen. I sourced they are going to dump the combustion engine. It's the nr 2 car manufacturer. Toyota has said the combustion engine will be dead in 2050. That is the biggest car manufacturer.
    https://www.autocar.co.uk/car-news/...stion-engine-be-dead-2050-says-toyota-rd-boss

How about that Don Quichot? lol

Electric vehicles are coming to the mass market in a large way, mostly for urban drivers, hybrids for everybody else. There is still large problems on the horizon. Nobody yet has figured out how to recycle all of these batteries, so we will stick them into landfills. Solve that problem and be filthy rich overnight.

The studies show the most green person out there are driving the oldest 4 cylinder they can keep running or refurbished. The hit to the environment from manufacturing any new vehicle is so much greater than any saving by not burning any fossil fuel, compared to any older vehicle getting 30 MPG.

This is a save the environment campaign to sell vehicles, nobody wants to talk about the hit to the environment in producing any new vehicle and we are going to fill a lot of landfills with old batteries, that is a given.

The only inconvenienced EV owner I actually knew had a 2012 Tesla in Canada. It took extra long to charge in the winter, like in less that 20° had reduced range and using the heater reduced the range even further.

Luckily it wasn't his only vehicle, it looked good and was quick. They have improved since then.

I'm open for it. You're just wrongly thinking that you, as an anonymous poster on an iffy forum, are able to convince a person who comes with one source after the other saying something different. lol

It's just an unfounded opinion of some anonymous poster on an iffy forum.

What psychics? I sourced my stuff. lol

I dunno. If you look at your random skyline. Let it be Paris, let it be Houston. Random day.
And than imagine it with people driving EV's and no smog.

Ever smelled an old timer? That was "inconvenient".
There are cities who have banned them actually. Health hazards.

I'm not going to fault people for believing in the technology. That's how it develops. But that being said I'm not going to, the infrastructure for it simply does not exist.

you say that but here we are.

I'm not trying to convince anyone of anything.

you keep saying this. It's not going to make me stop really do anything I'm not that easy to manipulate.

you can't source the future idiots can make any claim they want about the future it doesn't mean that it's going to happen. Based on what I know I don't foresee it happening, or I see bankruptcy in BMW future.

Again this is my opinion you can believe whatever hogwash someone wants you to. You can source it from all the blogs on the internet I don't care. But based on your behavior you're here trying to convince me. Pie-in-the-sky claims of nothing but electric cars and still operating a business is far-fetched to say the least.

That's my opinion accept it or don't.

You can charge your EV with windmills rainbows and hugs. Mother Earth herself will come and thank you after you ripped open her body for all the precious elements make the batteries and all the fossil fuel to burn in the power plants and also all the precious elements you ripped out of her body to build more infrastructure.

Make no mistake about it this isn't about the planet this is about petroleum particularly hurting petroleum. It is absolutely a partisan issue. And it's because the petroleum industry doesn't support Democrats. And they represent about 8% of our entire economy.
