Agreed, Clinton and Obama share blame with Bush. corporists from both sides of the isle sold america down the drain for election funding and cushy jobs post political career. Obama and clinton even more so as they pay lip service to the working man while republicans were always on the side of the moneyed .

Please tell me what you mean by this response. I said that the tariffs should be rebated by way of an increased tax standard deduction and not used to pay for the tax cut to the rich.
how does your response even fit that.

The American consumer is paying the tariffs in increased costs.
We run a deficit. So any tax cut requires us to borrow the money to pay for them.
The Chinese used to loan us money.
It's nothing profound. I just found it funny. :)

"Bipartisan way" to impose tariffs and start trade wars?
We aren't going to get a good deal the way Trump is going about it.

I agree, maybbe the next President can, but what I fear is Trump will take a weak deal just to get a deal

so what and how much import is consider excessive, mind you all these import are due to supply and demand. if demand is low, import are less, demand is high more imports, its driven by free market economy, not politic.

it's considered excessive when it starts having a negative effect on society, do you not agree that would be excessive
as for foreign outsourcing, it's a national security risk to have India control all our data and IT infrastructure remotely.. don't you agree?

It's kind of the down side of capitalism.
The problem would be who you trust to make those decisions if not made for profit.
If we were China, we could just bring a few million in from the countryside and train them in IT.

1 what kind negative effect? if its layoff workers, well unemployment is 3%. 2nd there is no way developed country can compete wage against developing country.
as for India control our data? they have a lot IT etc, only because their wage is cheap and they can speak English hence why your customer service is routed to india. again its capitalism, company goals is to maximize the profit

More Bacon for USA and less for China, yes,it could be a problem for China, but its NOT a problem for Southern Americans

Its the sunglasses at Walmart that are more expensive now, but then I just found some at The Dollar store here for only 1$, so since Walmart wants play political correct games, and ban some T-shirts and some flags and all guns, well, SO WHAT DO I CARE anyway.. im go find stuff elsewhere.

Exactly. If we don't have to compete with China to purchase pork, we get it cheaper.

    They can have Lebron, though.

To my great friends -- the poster and the article's writer, if the US has really won the trade war, why is it wasting so much time to negotiate a deal with China? To save China from defeat? Why are Trump and his team so kind-hearted? Are they trying to impress God so as to get a place reserved for them in heaven? Aren't Trump and his team stupid not to raise tariffs on all Chinese goods by 100% or even 1000% instead?

We've been getting our ass handed to us for the past 30 years trading with China. You really think a new deal can happen overnight? This is called negotiations. How long did it take Zak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys to negotiate a deal? Over a year and that deal is only for one person and a couple million dollars. The U.S./China trade deal is for trillions of dollars and hundreds of millions of people.

Maybe China will recruit you as a master negotiator to get a deal with Donald Trump. The chances of getting a final deal will depend on whether God will let both of you live forever in this world.
