The way to do it is to allocate the resources to do it. This is not rocket science. Instead the morons in Sacramento spent the money on green energy projects.

You cannot make this ^^^^ up. Watch a tree trimming service in action some time.

You could always throw up your hands and keep plenty of gas in your car so you can get out of town. I believe the governor likes the fires so he say that global warming is at fault for the fires.

Elites are not affected by their own regressive policies.

You want to send the tree trimming service into the forests and high country to harvest millions of dead tree, you can not make stuff like this up.

Since it is my forest I do it. Thin it, take weaklings out or beetle kills, manage the ground and so on. Lots of work.

But again you have not answered my questions, can you answer them ?

What a surprise that California is burning and the power is shut off. Actually no one should be surprised. This was entirely predictable.

You claim to manage a forest and respond with this.

It was a beautiful day today, low winds, so I spent 8 hours in the forest, harvesting and taking the dead ones out, thinning.
Its not tree service. Its a big chain saw, wedges and a large hammer. A tractor and some large chains.
    Serious work, dangerous and hard.
Its lumber jacking, not tree trimming. A 60 to 70 foot tree is an art to take down, its not trimming, it comes down in one piece.
It does not take half a day, like the trimmers, it takes 20 minutes. You have to work fast, once you cut the wedge.
You just can not cut it, it has to fall precisely, or it gets hung up and than you have a seriously dangerous mess.
Its an art to drop a tree. But than the real works starts, the branches have to go and you have to get this monster moved, through the forest.

I think, you have absolutely no idea what you are talking about and probably drove by some tree trimmers in town and saw them working.
They do a great job, they know their job, but in the forest they would as much lost as me trying to take a tree down in a town.

what has that to do with green energy ?
It just shows that the energy company did not do its job and invest properly in a modern infrastructure.
800,000 are with now power in the East, because they had a winter storm. The winds and snow took down the power lines.
    70s infrastructure.
It happens all over the US.

No, why should I. As I said they do a great job. But tree trimming is a completely different job than lumber jacking
A trimmer takes a tree down, piece by piece, from the top to bottom. A lumber jack takes a tree down in one piece and if he is good drops the monster within 10 inches of his aim.
    2 different jobs.

You have a problem with that ?

I am very proud of my forest and how I have managed it over 30 years. My farm and the forest are considered a defensible zone by the Federal authorities.
It showed again last year, when we had a 100,000 acres fire came as close as 2 miles. Everybody got a red flag, but not us. We were staging zone, # 2 team.
What people do not understand, the size of those forests and the very difficult terrain.
The drought we have since 20 has created a problem so huge, that if we send all the tree trimmers and lumber jacks of the US into California.
They would not make a dent in the next 5 years. Because while they take out the dead stuff, twice as much dead stuff will be created by beagles and drought.
