1) 1860's Republicans were hardly conservative by any stretch of the imagination. The term "Radical Republicans" is your first clue. You might want to google it.

2) They did win, though, didn't they? Revolution - tossing the status quo in the garbage - is by definition a radical, liberal act.

3) You talk like a member of the reactionary regressive Democrats of the 1860's that were willing to screw the rest of the nation over to maintain their own status quo, or the Tories of the Revolutionary War who turned their backs on their countrymen to fellate their Mad King, or the European monarchists who believed in the divine right of kings. My ancestors shed their blood - liberally - to upend the status quo in both wars - Revolutionary and Civil - and the Texas Revolution as well. I come from a long line of radical revolutionaries, and consider myself in very good company. You might want to study your history. In the end, conservatives always lose. The British were sent packing. The South lost, and the slaves were freed. European monarchies are ceremonial only now. Women got to vote. Social Security and Medicare were passed and are still here. The Civil Rights Act was passed, Jim Crow is dead and segregation along with it. Abortion is legal. Consenting adults can have sex with and marry who they choose. Conservatives lost all of those, and will continue to lose. Deal with it.

You seem somewhat preoccupied about where I stick my dick, however. That's really not your concern, but it's definitely true to form for an authoritarian regressive busybody. You really should un-clutch those pearls before you give yourself a case of the vapors, my friend...
