51 percent of Europeans speak English
it is the language of business and education

Why need to learn native language?

Learning English does not preclude learning any other languages.

americanized english is one of the most idiotic languages out there, multiple meanings to the exact same word, screwy puntuations, difficult to learn, yet it's being used everywhere, why...

because, for the most part, americans are lazy, unsophisticated & arrogant, ergo refuse to learn other languages so the rest of the world is forced into learning the bastardized american version of english...

Still bitter over failing your ESL class? If you are looking for another class to take, you might find the History of the English Language interesting. Of course, you might find it difficult to follow along.

When I was in Korea I made friends with a native. He said English was a fun language to learn. Call it lazy if you want. I have to agree with him, our slang is ridiculous but funny.

Did you know that the word gook is not a racial slur? It is the Americans that made it so.

They call themselves gooks (guk) as that is a part of their language.

    Han-guk, Mi-guk for example.

Ya Han- is the prefix on everything Korean in the Korean language. You know, we are used to the Romanized and Germanic language borrowings. No, we met people 100 years ago, we got talking to ourselves only words, like, "Korea", that we made up from the Goryeo period of their History. That's not even Koreans doing that. They got Han river, Hanguk language, Hangul Alphabet, Hanguksan is made in Korea. Hanbok is a Korean traditional outfit. Hanok is a traditional Korean house.

You shouldn't "Romanize" Korean which is to think we can talk very well in Korean. Annyong Ha se Yo? That's pretty safe. What about Lee Myung Bak, Yi Myung Bak is how we differentiate the Royal Family Yi's, Rhee is how we differentiate President Syngman. Lee Myung Bak is how we spell the American. Ya not related people. People must ask about that.

If you like Sudoku puzzles and, any junk like that, hey, Korean Surely must be the best language. Culturally litera celebrations of the man who made such a great scientific language, King Sejong. Its 24 alphabet symbols in sets of 3, that form 'syllable groups', so no matter what you know, the syllable, and you know how to say it. You might lose after that, like, as a Casual Person.
