Illegal aliens are a net cost to the US taxpayer. Illegal immigration is a drag on the US economy and cause economic harm to low skilled US citizens.

teaching school for 30 years makes you an expert on nothing based on how our kids are doing? it doesn't even mean you know anything about education

Barriers/walls/fences/obstacles work. Look at Nancy Pelosi's house.

Ask the four people who now control the Democratic Party. They make up the squad.

That's absurd. In my world, addicts would get cheap opiates and the black market for drugs would dry up. Fewer addicts would be created by exposure to drugs through the illegal market.[/QUOTE]

    Telling ^^^^

Cheap fentanyl - yeah, yeah, that's the ticket.

Who are the four you're talking about? Who has advocated we dismantle our border crossings?

I was involved in drug education almost my entire career. I was the staff sponsor for student government many years and the students' council worked to keep kids away from hard drugs. You don't seem to understand what's actually happening with young people or public schools.

That's a border crossing. To the south, way down Mexico way, it's not much on a 1954 mile long border. Those few lanes, those few hundred feet at border crossings, are controlled. Mexican people who are law-abiding cross there.

Many of those addicted to opioids had physicians making bad choices for them.

Yes. As always law abiding citizens use border crossings. Criminals cross illegally.

Still you have to take control for yourself. Experts very often do not have your best interests at heart. When you don't seize control you are but a statistic. You decide.

When athletes for example are prescribed opioids in the past they had no idea how addictive they were.

You can't decide if you are addicted. You can only seek help. When the oxicontin type opioids came out no one knew how addictive they were as they do now.

    Read the book:

Pain Killer: An Empire of Deceit and the Origin of America's Opioid Epidemic
    by Barry Meier

    for all the tragic details.

Well maybe although the data is equivocal. But there is a reason why Trump and The Republicans and also the Democrats are unwilling to pass serious laws penalizing the people/ companies that hire illegals.

Cheap labor helps the rich of both parties.

Could the cost, whatever it is, be a lot less if addicts would get free heroin?
