That's right.. so why does he/she have to testify and why does Trump need to know who he/she is?

That letter was an extremely well crafted and absolutely true put down of the liar in chief.

The lawyer that declared 10 days after Trump was sworn in YEA the coup has begun?

Trump has every right to defend himself and demand the accuser come forward.

You think that obstructing of Congressional or legal procedures, tampering with a witness, and retaliating against a whitness is funny??

Trump could go out to the Washington monument , drop his drawers, take a dump and his ardent fans will say " what is that new perfume scent ".

The guy is not a "Whistleblower" as informing on the President of the United States is NOT convered in the statute.

The guy is not a "Whistleblower" as going to Schiff's Office first and consulting with them, disqualifies him.

What was it in his report you disagree with? Remember, this went through two Trump appointees (the Intelligence IG And the Director of National Intelligence), each of whom judged the WB to be following the law and WB process, and his complaint to be both credible and urgent.

Nonsense. His concern was considered "credible and urgent" by the IG and DNI, plus verified by others directly involved in the tel-con itself.

Well, the report he didn't write, that his #coup lawyer wrote, is not covered by the whistleblower statute.

There is no statute for whistleblowing a foreign policy call made by the POTUS.

Don't worry, you'll see what's going to happen.

    Actually, it's a fact.

The whistleblower statute for an employee of the intelligence agency only applies to activities within the intelligence agency.

Gee...I thought the agencies reported to the Chief Executive of the Executive Branch? Isn't Trump their boss? And, if he is, doesn't that make him the senior figure over all of the agencies? But, throw out the WB's complaint altogether. It doesn't eliminate the testimony verifying the WB's concern. And, yes, we'll all see starting with the public hearings next week.
Amusing...first it was "they don't have anything but process crimes." Now, it's we don't have anything but process violations."

The CIA is an independent federal agency.

Congress and the Executive branch only have oversight of it.

Glad I could help you understand.

How can an anonymous person ask for a cease and desist? It seems the Dems already know their Ukrainian ploy will fail so they're tilling new ground.

That's true...but the head of the CIA reports through the intelligence hierarchy, upward to the President, with Congressional oversight. Not vice versa.
Note the first sentence of Article II, Section 1: "The executive Power shall be vested in a President of the United States of America." I'd say that makes him the boss, unless otherwise defined by Congress.

What part of "independent" are you struggling with.

They are not part of the Executive branch.

Actually only imbeciles deny what they see and hear to protect a man who is screwing them. You just attack the messenger and ignore the message. I’m sure you would attack the person who pointed out Ted Bundy and call him some kind of name
