Former New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg is preparing to file paperwork to qualify for the Democratic presidential primary in Alabama.

Thoughts on him running? Would you vote for him if he got on the Presidential ballot?

Doubt I could ever vote for Bloomberg. We've already got a president who moves heaven and earth to cram an overvalued stock market down our throats while gutting interest rates on people's savings accounts....

Bloomberg is worth billions more than Trump and he's been on TV - what more could Republicans ask for? That is literally the list of qualifications that Trump came to the table with. Oh, and he even has some governing experience - he's like Trump on steroids.

Personally, I doubt I would vote for him - but Republicans tell me that having billions of dollars and appearing on TV are the only requirements necessary in this Kardashian World.

Too soon for me to tell. I need to hear what he has to say first.

But I do like the motivations he has for entering the race, namely that the current crop of Democratic candidates are a bit too over-the-top.

If I can't have Gabbard, I could conceivably take Bloomberg. I'd like a more moderate Democrat to vote for(and I'd be willing to take a moderate Republican but that won't be a choice in this election).

That's exactly what I've been thinking too.

Bloomberg was on your TV set and he has lots of money. That should make him a shoe-in as far as qualifications go. Unless the right requires it's candidates to be raving self-obsessed idiots now too.

‘I’d Do Her’: Mike Bloomberg and the Underbelly of #MeToo. Those torpedoes just keep circling around.

From 1996 to 1997, four women filed sexual-harassment or discrimination suits against Bloomberg the company. One of the suits included the following allegation: When Sekiko Sakai Garrison, a sales representative at the company, told Mike Bloomberg she was pregnant, he replied, “Kill it!” (Bloomberg went on, she alleged, to mutter, “Great, No. 16”—a reference, her complaint said, to the 16 women at the company who were then pregnant.) To these allegations, Garrison added another one: Even prior to her pregnancy, she claimed, Bloomberg had antagonized her by making disparaging comments about her appearance and sexual desirability. “What, is the guy dumb and blind?” he is alleged to have said upon seeing her wearing an engagement ring. “What the hell is he marrying you for?”

What Bloomberg reportedly did concede is that he had said of Garrison and other women, “I’d do her.”

In a 1998 filing, Mary Ann Olszewski reported that “male employees from Mr. Bloomberg on down” routinely belittled women at the company—a pattern of harassment, she said, that culminated in her being raped in a Chicago hotel room by a Bloomberg executive who was also her direct superior. The case was dismissed (not, apparently, on its merits, but rather because Olszewski’s attorney had missed the deadlines to respond to a motion to end the case). Before it was, though, in a deposition relating to the suit, Bloomberg testified that he wouldn’t consider Olszewski’s rape allegation to be genuine unless there were “an unimpeachable third-party witness” to corroborate her claims. (Asked by a lawyer how such a person might happen to witness a rape, Bloomberg replied, “There are times when three people are together.”)

    What a gem!

I couldn't find a response that made sense this early in the game.

If there had been a fourth option that said

"I have no idea it's only midday Friday and the Rumor just hit yesterday"

I'd be all over that answer.

Democrat as far as I know. His reasons for entering, at least what he's said, has to do with not being enthusiastic about any of the Democratic candidates.

Moderate Democrat is plainly - centrist.
Fighting for the middle and hardly, Democratic.

    Witness Clinton & Obama presidencies.
Considered among the most "conservative" Democratic Party presidencies.

If I am going to vote for a Democratic Party candidate,
    I won't settle for Republican-lite.
    Main Street, not Wall Street.
I want one from the Democratic Wing of the Democratic Party, not a centrist.

Currently as opposed to voting for Trump's reelection
Tulsi Gabbard, the only :peace: Peace Candidate has my loyalty over Trump.

Raving self-obsessed idiots? The previous describes Hillary Rodham Clinton, Michael R. Bloomberg, Kamala Harris, Bernard Sanders, Joseph "The Sniffer" Biden, etc. I mean this seriously because most of those who would vote for any of the previously named are either looking for a hand-out, are an outright Commie, and/or love GIGANTIC government that controls all aspects of an individual citizens life. Mind you, if you will, that all of the Democratic and many of the other candidates for POTUS see nothing wrong with open borders, treating criminals with "kiddie" gloves and hate Americans who believe in independence, self-governance, limited governments (both General and Specific) as prescribed in the Constitution of the United States of America.

Bucky, I am going to mention something that is forbidden in these here parts. Ben Shapiro and Micheal R. Bloomberg are of the same clothe, if you know what I mean, so it comes as no surprise to me that Ben would endorse Bloomberg, even though they are supposedly ideologically different. If any other group would do this, the MSM would be SCREAMING "Bloody Murder" or some other madness, but Shapiro and Bloomberg get a pass. THINK ABOUT IT! YCMTSU!

Not a single "yes, he is my first choice" vote. I am surprised.

Bloomberg.... It stuns me to even think of it. Nobody except for the stock market gamblers and New Yorkers even know who he is, or even CARE. So, why is this guy running...? It CAN'T be because he thinks he has a chance in hell of winning anything... UNLESS!

He just might get some real traction with taxpaying American citizens if he sets himself apart from every other Democrat candidate by doing ONE THING -- standing up and saying loud and clear, "Hell, no, I wouldn't give one f*cking penny to any illegal aliens -- none!"

If he did THAT, he might win the nomination by ACCLAMATION! But, don't expect anything like that from him....

Always remember, Republicans have "Fat Cats", but Democrats have LIMOUSINE LIBERALS. Go back and look at who has actually run the Democrat Party since about the year 1900 (119 years ago)... see any "poor people" there...?
