It's official, the Republicans have opted for a circus rather than fact finding. Jim Jordan has repeatedly opted for the grandiose gesture over substance. I don't see him changing now.

This also rings of a lack of confidence vote in Nunes ability to lead.

No, it rings of being determined to defend President Trump and expose Democrats dirty tricks. Jordan will not search for nice, soft words like Nunes does. Good move :applause:

Jordon is just another Republican attack dog. He will be applauded by Trump's base but he will be an annoyance to the majority of Americans. Jordan is a lightweight easily taken down by responsible people holding offices of responsibility. He will succeed in demonstrating to America and the world what the Trump base is all about.

Oh I get why they want Jordan there. He is a competent defender and questioner.

But you are adding a leader (jordan might be 2nd on his committee, actually) from a different committee to a committee that already has a leader. So that has to say something about the current leader, even if you are not replacing him.

And the transcripts tend to support a reason to be skeptical of Nunes. For example, he has largely been silent and during the Sondland testimony, he repeatedly tried to engage about the Steele dossier after Sondland made it abundantly clear that he had no knowledge nor much of an opinion about that document.

Youre trying to make hay out of nothing, Nunes has been a staunch supporter of President Trump and has been more than competent in defending against all democrat allegations and he did it for 3 full years.
Bringing on Jordan does not diminish what Nunes has done or demean his position

Certainly not changing his attire in deference to the dress code such a serious discharge of Congressional responsibility deserves.

His diversionary ruses will be akin to dropping trou and flaunting his pink frillies during revelatory depositions.

    Exactly.

And THIS (Utterly Absurd) COMEDY Statement (From McCarthy):

"Jim Jordan has been on the front lines in the fight for fairness and truth,":roflol:

People who remember Jordan from his days at Ohio St. have a different opinion.

    https://www.cnn.com/2019/11/08/us/osu-abuse-lawsuit-title-ix/index.html

"Jim Jordan has been on the front lines in the fight for fairness and truth,":roflol:

And, obviously, as was mentioned above, Jordan's inclusion in the questioning is guaranteeing that the GOP will attempt to turn the hearings into an absurd circus.

Because, as always, Jordan will be grandstanding with absurd Conspiracy Theories and Trump-Approved BS (to muddy the waters).

Jim Jordan = A Tinfoil Hat LOONEY Toon who nobody takes seriously (and should never have been elected in the first place).

Then again, if the voters in his District favor sending a RAPE-Enabler to Congress, that is certainly their right.

Jim Jordan? What a Pathetic Excuse for a Congressman.

    Jim Jordan? :roflol::bored:

“If Democrats are going to turn Intel into the impeachment committee, I am going to make adjustments to that committee accordingly, for a short period of time,” House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy said.

Sondland also declared that Trump did nothing wrong.

Then he confessed it was Sondland that had the quid pro quo.

Trump's EU envoy admits Ukraine quid pro quo in updated ...

    https://www.theguardian.com › us-news › nov › trump-impeachment-sond...

4 days ago - Gordon Sondland says he told Ukraine it was unlikely to get $400m in aid unless it announced investigations into Trump rivals.

What is fascinating to me is why Democrats want to sweep under the rug the crimes committed by Joe Biden. ~myself

What bothers me most is that nobody on the right says they want to examine the evidence, it's always prove Trump's innocence.
Their job as congressmen is to look at the evidence, to announce Trump's innocence ahead of hearings should force them to recuse themselves. Ditto for the senators.

The call is the evidence.. The Ukraine Presidents own words is the evidence.. A never ending stream of "concerns" is not evidence.

We have looked at the evidence, starting with pencil neck's chest-beating that he has undeniable evidence of Trump' colluding with russkies. Guess what? The evidence produced by the pencil neck was/is unconvincing; all the other evidence produced by the Democrats kangaroo court is is about the same quality. :nana:

The transcript of the call is not an evidence and means nothing. What matters is an opinion of Ambassador who' learned of the story from the New York Times, of another Ambassador who was fired by Trump and of the soldier who's convinced it is him who should be making US foreign policy and not the President of the United States :D

It isn’t Congress’ job (or the job of Congressional Republicans) to defend the president.
They swear an oath to defend the constitution. Something they are turning their backs on.

The nearly 50 Republicans were pretty ineffectual in the private hearings. Maybe they crave the roar of the greasepaint, the smell of the crowd.

I WOULDN'T count on it, but who knows?

His prior history of being a RAPE-ENABLER (during his tenure at Ohio St.) has me skeptical.

Is Jordan even capable of "Honorable Behavior"?

    Time will tell. :salute:
