General Welfare might include most anything.Like demanding that every kid
going to school have a good pair of shoes and a winter coat in the winter months.
That a school has to provide for school kids a meal and that a meal has to
be hot or beneficial.None of that stuff was done in the 1950's.At least by all
    schools in the U.S.
    So much for General Welfare.

What many forget is that this nation, anyone can be elite and wealthy in this country thanks to our constitution and founders.

The country was poor until the gold rush of '49. So this country has war to thank for it's prosperity..

Cite the ruling stating it was unconstitutional.

due process and right to face your accuser is during a trial. Impeachment in the house is not a trial, and is not subject to due process.

The president and anyone else is of course obligated to comply with subpoenas.

The nation hadn't even hit the century mark by then. Coming out of the Industrial revolution, this nations innovations bumped us up in the world economy and afforded EVERYONE opportunity. Why do think people came here in droves during the late 19th and early 20th century. Everyone had opportunity to be successful here, and still do. Try being an entrepreneur in any other nations and see the difference.

Granted, I suspect you will want to re-write history to tell a different tale as you already did in your response!

The entire thing { ObamaCare } was passed because Roberts
made the call for our Supreme Court that it was a Tax.
Roberts was the deciding vote { 5-4 } by arguing that Obama's
signature bill and the Individual Mandate was in fact a tax.
Ironic since the passage of Obama's bill was not billed as such.
A Tax.Roberts 11th hour vote in his argument stated " the mandate is
not a legal command to buy insurance.Rather,it makes going without
insurance just another thing the government taxes. "
I get it.Like the way This G'mint had a poll tax for Blacks in order to vote.
As part of Jim Crow laws it restricted voting for those who chose to
rely on a Grandfather clause { allowed any adult male whose father or Grandfather
had voted in a specific year Prior to the Abolition of Slavery to Vote w/o
    paying the tax.

That was a rather long and incoherent way of saying, you can’t cite any such ruling.

A rationalization so broad that it leads to a federal government with unlimited power.

    That's so sad and depressing.

Like ALL the numerous { hourly } citing {sightings} by Obama's Birther Defense League.
Talk about a load of Hooey.Enough to make a garden variety Martian seriously reconsider
their appointment with one of New York City's Finest Psychiatrist.
Like what Woody Allen should have done decades ago.

We share the exact same views about the constitution.

That document has been perverted for decades, and those that like centralized power and control desire to pervert it further.

be interested more in taking over yer life.Like what W.C.Fields got across

The general welfare clause is often cited for everything from free healthcare to free lollipops. My typical response to using that to argue for anything the left wants is to point out that it does have to be for the general welfare of the united states. This doesn't necessarily mean free healthcare. In fact, the fewer people cluttering up the highways, the better. The united states will do better with more self-sufficient people, and far far far fewer welfare people.

Actually, it would have to be for the general welfare, rather than specific hard luck cases. So my question is how does the general public benefit from poor people who can't even pay for their own healthcare?

What do I get out of it?

General welfare of the people of the United States, if you believe Hamilton and Adams.

Poor people still add billions into the economy through sales tax and through unskilled labor. The only way to generate wealth is to leverage other people's labor - that's econ 101.
